[mozhete mne pomoch'] - can you help me?; подождите [podozhdite] - wait; спасибо [spasibo] - thank you; пожалуйста [pozhaluysta] - you're welcome/please; хорошо/ладно [khorosho][ladno] - good/okay; извините/простите [izvinite][prostite] - sorry.
There are a lot of grammatical rules, not even all Russians know them. But the main things are 1) we don’t have articles and 2) each noun, verb (past tense) and adjective has a so-called gender (genus) – masculine, feminine or neuter. For example: солнце (sun) – neuter, лошадь (horse) – feminine, стол (table) – masculine. Бежал (m), бежала (f), бежало (n) – have been running. Умный (m), умная (f), умное (n) – clever/smart.
