lol, the script is fine i'm still trying to get myself into where i like my art. Had i money son, i'd hire you in an instant We've strayed pretty far from your original sketches (although i'm still using most of those designs as a basis). Sadly i have a few new characters i've yet to sketch up. It's been super busy around here with work, but as of yesterday i finished my day classes. Now i'm just teaching twice a week a night. It's not so great for the checkbook, but it hopefully will be better for my comic. You should get back into the sequentials. Why not practice on some of the free sample scripts for artists that penciljack has to offer? They're under the writing section of the site in a special pinned forum at the top. Or you're more than welcome to use one of my sample scripts, they're on my blog. I think the link is under "stuff to check out". Anyway That's how most practice, using sample scripts and sending them in.
Of course if you ever get seriously desperate and feel like doing things for craps and giggles, i know a girl who could use a guest artist now and again, but sadly she's broke lol. (uh that would be me).
Anyway, when you do get on the sequential wagon again, shoot me some links, i'd love to see em

Snowed in? You must live in the Eastern US. Where do you live?

I'm a new yorker (but not the city) i'm closer to rochester. And we got semi-nailed. In the end it turned out to be very underwelming, snow wise.

You are a teacher? (or a Teaching Assitant...maybe a Graduate Assistant?) If so, what do you teach?

I'm a visiting lecturer in English (which is a nice fancy way of saying writing adjunct). I work for two colleges in NY and basically teach composition. Once a year i get to teach screenwriting, which is fun

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad you're a teacher of a sort- for college. A friend from Korea had a similar job in her homeland as an adjunct professor for a Seoul university. The university has a contract adjuncts sign where they can work as an employee for up to 3 years.
What is the situation for an adjunct in the U.S.?

Ielle77 In reply to JEBurton [2010-02-28 04:26:44 +0000 UTC]
depends on the college. I did have one gig that was for 3 years. Other schools hire you for a 1 year contract and if they like you they hire you again and again (each time though your contract is open for review) and others (like mine) are even less permanent. We get hired by semester. Although there's usually a gentleman's agreement that if you do well, and they like you, that you'll be hired back for at LEAST 3 classes the following semester (providing you tell them that you want to come back).
Honestly its more stressfull planning for the following semester than it is running the class.
in and ideal world i'd teach 1 or 2 classes a semester to help keep the budget in check and write my behind off the rest of the time. But life rarely works that way

thanks Hopefully it will be. My goal (as of last night lol) is to draw for at least an hour a day to improve my art. Hopefully i'll see some improvement soon, but we are always our harshest critics, aren't we? lol

yeah i don't like it either. I'm only tweeting occasionally (like once a week) to update folks about my webcomic. That's about it. Other than that i find it to useless. Hell i only have 3 followers so honestly i'm not sure it's something i'll bother to keep up.
