okay... so you say that Yog-Sothoth can beat all non-omnipotent versions of Zeus. No biggie right?
But I believe that the strongest versions of Zeus: Pelasgian, Orphic, and Neo-Platonic (and possibly Stoic) should win.
Even if Yog-Sothoth beats those, at least the strongest beings from Greek/Roman myths and religion of any of their branches: Hesiodic, Homeric, Atlantean, Epicurean, Stoic, Pelasgian, Orphic, and Neo-Platonic... should annihalate Yog-Sothoth and the whole Lovecraft world right? Or at least all of Greek/Roman mythology and religions in its entirety should be able to do it right?
And I mean there's absolutely no frickin' way at all that Azathoth/Yog-Sothoth or the whole Cthulhu Mythos teamed up together can stand up against ALL real-life deities and ALL of the real world's ancient religions, mythologies, and folklores, together in bloodlust, EVEN with the Abrahamic (and/or Islamic) God restricted from the whole battle right?

all deities would equate a small army, they could swarm the cthulhu mythosΒ

Supera45 In reply to Knightnumber4 [2015-09-12 02:45:04 +0000 UTC]
ummmm... what do you mean "all deities would equate a small army"? and yes you're right, omnipotents or no omnipotents, the entirety of greek/roman myths and several other western pagan religions alone and some christian/jewish "deities", even minus the abrahamic god him/itself lol, would outnumber and overwhelm the cthulhu mythos.

so showzilla, good to see you're back...
as i was saying last time in september...
awwwwwwwwwww man.... you're not into defending the real-life gods or ancient religions/mythologies/legends anymore? They're like possibly the absolute greatest things in existence ever! And you were one of the few people on the internet I could look up to for a shoulder to cry upon and who could help me with defending religion/mythology gods in versus debates.
Religion, mythology, and folklore already gets very little love and respect as it is. But when times were dark, you were there and you were the one who brought more hope and faith to humanity and you were the one who always re-assured me that the Abrahamic God and all other real-life gods are >>>>>> just about everything else in scope/power. And you were the one who confirmed that I'm not insane for believing and thinking that the Greek/Roman gods have omnipotent beings and that the strongest beings and deities from actual religion/mythology are infinitely stronger than lovecraft and vastly above all of fiction.
Now without you, who do I turn to now?

Knightnumber4 In reply to Supera45 [2014-11-07 05:23:48 +0000 UTC]
as for not defending gods, I'm just saying that superman could hand hercules and zeus their ass and that marvel thor is a lot stronger than myth thor, if a god deserves the win, I'll back them up.Β
π: 0 β©: 2
Supera45 In reply to Knightnumber4 [2015-09-12 03:09:10 +0000 UTC]
And you say that you will give a god the win if they deserve it. That's nice and all.
But, well tell me this...Β
Do you agree with me that the Abrahamic God is stronger than all of fiction (and anything from entertainment or non-reality or other forms of existence besides religion/mythology/spirituality and whatever similar things in real-life or reality that are also just as abstract, supernatural, transcendent, magical, cosmic, metaphysical, mystical, esoteric, etc. as it) combined?
And if you doubt it, do you at least agree with me that ALL of religion/mythology/legends (and whatever similar things there are from real-life, like it) is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ALL of fiction, entertainment, pop culture, sports, military, and whatever other things, real or non-real or hypothetically/theoretically existing or other, combined by infinity?
please tell me. if you can do anything to cheer me up this, this is it, buddy. if you can't answer this right, then well... i've lost my faith and hope here.

Dude...? With all due respect, please tell me you're not actually being serious. How is Superman, who is normally a mere herald/star system-level being at best, going to defeat Zeus, the guy who fought AND defeated a universal threat, Typhon? And the guy whose thunder can already destroy the universe (and there are quotes that back up that the universe was destroyed and restored during a big-ass fight in one greek myth)? Superman might have the speed advantage, but he is going to have a hard time defeating even Hesiodic Zeus. He could put up a fight no doubt, but seriously, to say that any version of Superman, except barring that Final Crisis guy, could stand up to say... Orphic Zeus is just absurdly delusional.
And Marvel Thor being stronger than Myth Thor? According to comicvine, myth Thor can already shake and affect the whole universe with his hammer's strike and Marvel Thor is only like star system/galaxy at best and myth Thor already tangled with abstract concepts. And myth Thor ain't even the strongest guy in the Norse legends.
You seem to be assuming that I am saying that ANY religion/myth/folklore god can defeat ANY comic, anime, or other fictional deity or character. When in fact, I never asserted that no being in all of known fiction can take on or even stomp an actual god from belief systems or any comparable supernatural being from reality or world cultures. Yes, there are some people/things from category A that are stronger than some people/things from category B and vice versa in general. BUT when it comes to the highest of both sides in their entirety, it's either going to be a victory or greater ranking in one of them's favor at best and a decisive tie/stalemate for them at worst.Β

I mean, I don't think that I have ever seen King Ghidorah look as menacing in anything Godzilla outside of his design from the Heisei era of the films.Β And yeah, considering that the last thing we really had for Godzilla-based games was the kind of descent in quality between Save the Earth and Unleashed/Double Smash, we could really use a well-done modern one, especially since the 2014 reboot turned out to be really popular.

Hey man, I just realized that it was probably a bad time to send my note last night given how late it was; not sure if you read it, but I'm gonna ask again if you don't mind: would you still be interested in doing a Godzilla RP?

That's what I kind of meant with my last reply: I don't really know anyone on dA who would be up for that kind of thing; all of the people who I used to do RPs and that kind of stuff with (the people that I think would work for that kind of thing) don't do it any more.
