Oh of course sweetie! 

Well, I've learned to properly plan the plot of a story before beginning; leaving blank spaces wouldn't really help so it's important to complete your planning first before starting anything. 

-Try your best in including as many creative writing in the story as much as possible, it'll give your readers a better imagery of the thingy you're trying to describe and can leave them in suspense and try to work out for their own of what you're trying to put across using only their imagination if you place your words correctly. If you don't know what the creative writing methods are its just smilies, metaphors, personification, onomatopoeia etc. 

-Switch from POVs (point of views) providing as many of your character's opinion in as well, it won't only interest the readers but allow you to challenge yourself in writing your characters' personality accurately. 

- If you ever have the opportunity to describe something in depth make sure to describe as accurate as possible or as much as necessary. My trick in doing this is imagining myself as the reader; what would I want to be described to me? What should this author include? That'll help for sure, well, it does for me, hopefully for you too ^^ 

- After every few paragraphs or every paragraph, read back and see if you're satisfied, make some changes if you aren't, once its finished check one more time and when the entire short story or chapter of a multi-chapter is completed look back once more, looking out for punctation, grammar, spellings and the context itself as well; can you change it some more to be a little more fitting? Can you include anything else or add anything that'll give anything more depth? Just think about it and things will come to mind. 

- To bring out the feelings of your reader during a particular situation, imagine yourself as your character and write whatever comes to mind about the scenario are you sad? Happy? Angry? If so then explain why, giving a perfectly good reason and allowing the reader to relate to your character's situation. After that, you could include the opinion of another character that is also associated with the scenario and do the same for them. 

Thats all I can think up for now, I'm sorry but I hope that was useful. If you have any other questions ask away I'm always happy to help a fellow friend!
