Hey =] i was looking at some of your work, and was wondering if you were a Larper? i was also wondering if i could ask you about how you made your leather elven armour ^^ it looks awsume, and im trying to remedy something simmilar for my elven larp charecter before next year. any help would be greatly appreceated! =D (Big Grin)

Hi!

Yes, I am a Larper and of course I can help you with your armour!
The basic is the concept. It needs a bit knowledge to be comfortable and wearable in the end, so if you don't have it yet, you might have to change it a lot.
To get the pattern you should wear an old T-Shirt (it might not survive it) and take a roll of crepe tape that you wrap around yourself in at least two layers where the armour should be afterwards. Now you best draw the lines of the design on it and cut it out, if it doesn't work you can cut the crepe tape at the lines where the armour later will have the closings (I suggest you below the arms downwards and on the shoulders) and then draw the lines. Try and change it as long until it fits and is comfortable (do a lot of movements that you will do in the armour). Then you can begin to cut the leather with a cutter. Don't forget the overlapping parts on the leather if you haven't drawn them on the pattern!
