i think van gogh had good stuff, i just don't think he is as good as the classical and renaissance artists. His works are more of a surrealism thing and i prefer human porportions rather than distorted stuff. and van gogh was a crazy man.

i find the more contemporary stuff takes much less technical skill as previous generations.

yeah I know, but not all the contemporary has less technical skills. I think it has more posibility to be ambiguous and not limited to a strait point or idea. Also the art goes in circles, you are going to see that maybe in 30 or 50 year more and the artistic community are going to start makinc clasical art again.

jajaja is not that art is going to repeat itself, no is the fact that artist always look back to reinvent new methods. Like maybe it is a period that people get focus in only draw or paint portrait, ten years pass and they kind of get borg of it and then look back and redo other aspect of art like abstract. jaj I hope you understans all that becasue my english is limited
