Yes that's correct! I absolutely LOVE the souls/blood-games. I first fell in love with them when playing Demon's souls, so I would say that game has had a big influence in the story as well, with it's dark and heartbreaking stories 

Oh man... That's a tough one. I love ALL the stories in Bloodborne! The Gascoine family saga is amazing, and so sad... I love the tiny details like the fact that you can't save the child no matter what you do. That you'll find her ribbon down in the sewers with the big pig... That gave me the shivers the first time I experienced it.
I've always been very fond of the doll and her connection to Maria. I think that's something that I always try to know more about. Also the Oedon chapel dweller (bless his poor heart <3) and the disturbing story about what happens to Arianna if you take her blood in front of the nun...
So many amazing stories!
