Well, I like to make giantess composite pictures sometimes. I remove the woman from the background and try to make it look like she's a giant or sometimes add shrunken people in. I put any picture that lends itself to that kind of thing in there.

However, it seems you sell your pictures so I won't be using yours. But there still nice to look at.

I didn't use any particular ship. I googled "ship models" and pulled up a good selection of ships with detailed close-ups (these are actual wood crafted models - they take lots of close-ups). I took bits and pieces from a variety of ships to create a final 3D model that suited my needs. I do not purchase 3D models or textures - I create everything from scratch. So whether the final product is good or bad, it's all mine. I don't disparage the current trend of 3D model
buyers/photomanipulators (i.e. artists who take a variety of stock photos/models and create an illustration). But I'm just not sure that they can entirely own or take credit for their work. What a ridiculously long answer to a simple question.

No, I understand. Even though I buy model myself I actually feel the same way. I guess I think about it in the same way that a film writer/director might think about the stuff that's in there movie. They don't build the props, it's not them playing all the parts. But it's there story. Any way, nice work on the ship model. More power to you. ^_^

You have a valid point. Certainly, the same can be said for game designers and comic book/graphic novels. My hope is that purchasing models leads the artist to seek out creating their own at some point. At the very least, I hope it helps them to fully explore composition, lighting and camera.
