# About me
~~~ For several decades I made my living as a research and development technician (mostly electronic and mechanical, some computer gaming) while doing artwork when I could; now I get to be an artist. The art I used to do was mostly drawings and paintings done with India ink and colored inks, or strange creatures and machines made from various plastic materials. These days I mainly carve, what I mainly carve is jewelry, and what I mainly carve things from are natural materials of all sorts. I still do digital art, though, both vector and pixil based, including fonts for computer printing. What next? I'm mostly working on improving my carving, but I want to make some art using the machine tool and computer knowledge from my old "day job".~~~ I do take commissions, and occasionally trade art. If you are interested, send me a note.
Current Residence: The Far West (or The Left Coast, some say)
Favourite genre of music: Filk (a tradition of the science-fiction community)
Operating System: Various, mostly Apple
Favourite cartoon character: Hobbes (as in Calvin and Hobbes)
Personal Quote: Be excellent to each other. And... Party on, dudes! (... Bill & Ted)
Thanks for the watch. Your artwork is beautiful and mysterious, with deep mythical resonances. Very interesting and moving.
Thank you. It is good to hear from you. I am always sad when people whose work I admire stop posting their work on deviantART. Some post elsewhere, but the more sites I have to check in order to follow people, the fewer people I can follow, and the more mental energy I spend that could go into doing art. And some people just vanish, like stars gone from the sky, and I wonder how they are doing. I try to have some signs of life on my pages here, if only changing my current featured piece or ID picture, in case anyone feels the same way about me.
Hi Don
Sorry not to post on deviantart, nor go ahead in giving news, I neather do that much on facebook, except recycling old pictures
Yap, I also miss this time following friends work like you
Fact is that even if we bought a new super camera with wonderful macro lense, I had so few time free, 6 days a week keeping open the atelier boutique, working at the production. Feathers are quite time consuming, but I start at least to can breath. Also, so many pieces I make are sold long before I can pic them, even if my small photo studio is just above the workshop.
I hope I get a new model girl to can make a bunch of nice pictures, cause the descriptive technical pictures I post on my selling site are everything but fun
Then I'll feed my deviantart account.
Hugs
I won't complain if your having lots of business keeps you busy.
Nice pictures of your work being worn should be good for business, I would think.
You're welcome. And thank you.
For reasons (mostly economic) I almost never sell outside the San Francisco Bay Area, and the only time I've done so outside of California was a recent Westercon in Tempe, Arizona.
The preciousness of llamas is debatable, it appears. Some seek them solicitously, some shun them with sneers.Β
As I may have mentioned before, your work is so consistently good, I tend to take it for granted.
