Yes, I'm currently working on Pokemon mystery dungeon Red rescue team, and Pokemon quest on my phone. Sapphire was my first game.

Pokemon Red/Blue was my first but I stopped after Black 2/White 2 due to life issues and economic reasons. I came back last year playing Black 2 again before I get Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (both of them actually).

You also play Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon?

I'm afraid not, I only had a Gameboy back in the day, and now it's just an emulator. No DS ;-;

I do like some of Sun and Moon, especially the ending boss and the story I've seen.

I do prefer Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for better storyline tones and Sci-Fi elements (regular Sun/Moon were too chaotic tho), and Team Rainbow Rocket post-game story.

SInce I already have a 3DS for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, I will still have to wait for Gen 8 which will come out in late 2019 for Switch.

But if you want instant core games experience, try Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for 3DS. Buying a 3DS is a whole lot cheaper than Switch, especially if it's regular used ones.

Hmm, I can look around I suppose. I don't currently have an income though, so I'm tethered to birthdays and Christmas for expensive things.

Hm? They can be fun game and it looks like a remake of Pokemon Yellow meets stripped-down versions of recent core games with Pokemon GO's capture system and other fun features. Not as better as Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon overall due to it being a test bed for next-generation core-series game for Nintendo Switch.

What game is your favorite? And what region is you favorite?

I like Hoenn and Sapphire, my first abd my best. I've played Fire Red (Kanto) and it's great too, but nothing beats the first experience.

Used to be Hoenn in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, before shifted to Unova in Black 2/White 2 and now Alola in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon have the best stories so far.

Also, I've played Pokemon Pinball, hah. It's silly but makes a surprising amount of sense with it's pokemon-based bonuses, minigames and designs. I'd recommend it.
