Anyway you and I were talking about the Pendragon series, the author wrote a few more books but all of them are still in hard cover >o< which sucks alot, because I wont be able to buy them until they are paper back.

Well I was just making an educated guess on where it took place, seeing as though it origonated out of a japanese comic. But ok then, this is news to me; where does the storyt take place? But that's not to say that it wont have a similar effect on whatever country the anime actually takes place in.

It doesn't take place in an actual place, but from what I can gather a large island continent (not Japan) seperated into areas such as "the Land of Fire," "Land of Water," etc.

Well alright, put thats just a small part of the bulk of my argument. And one could relate it to Japan more so than anything else due to the fact that the comic is actually created in a japanese magazine. Now don't get me wrong, that's not to say all comics in american comic books take place in America, but in this instance The fact that it's written in japanese, originated in a japanese book, and that there's no evidence of any other real world country points to the conclusion that japan is the most significant benefactor in the storie's setting.

It's not so much connecting it to a real place as expecting it to cling to the traditions OF that place. Because last I checked, Japan didn't have teenage mutants OR ninja turtles.

I never said it should cling to the location's tradition, but I did say a little reality is always needed for real people to be able to relate to the story and enjoy it thuroughly.
