PS: it would have looked even cooler if you had made the colors somewhat darker to accentuate its age (i.e.time makes the colors darker)

I find the little details extremely appealing. The environment in which you place your characters is very interesting.

Someone probably already asked or mentioned this, but do you model your style after Yuki Kaori (One of my fav. artists!)? I found a great deal of similarities btw your two styles.

I LOVE Kaori Yuki

Actually, I'm influenced by Suguro Chayamachi, but I fell in love with Kaori Yuki's style 'cause I had similarities to it, apparently.
Though of course, my idols are still wayyyy better than me so my style is a bit mediocre XDD

You could do it without using photoshop. It is merely that the colors (Black and white) are not even. When you are drawing you could use a stump, which is a drawing tool that blends. It is very useful and could help bring out the characteristics of your drawings.

Photoshop could be useful but I think that it is better for you to learn to do it by hand first.
