My aunt in Berkeley took me in for 2 weeks, but I had to leave when her daughters came to visit, so now I'm in Extended Stay America Dublin.

I was at the Geeky Mixer panel at AOD, although we didn't talk. Maybe we can fix that if you are going to the meetup?

Steve organized a meetup at SFO for all the aod geek mixers.
It was Saturday at 11 pm, right after the Game Developer's Conference, so I ended up missing it due to sheer exhaustion.

I don't know if there's going to be (or even if there was) another on.

I've never heard of KublaCon, but I think volunteering for any con would be a good experience. You'll definitely meet a lot of like-minded people! I think it's wonderful how many cons there are in the area, and how active the fandom population is for just about every fandom

I've been meeting Ellis all over since AoD, and we have both recently joined a team pulled together to build a game.
We had our first meeting on Saturday, I hope we can keep the energy going.

It seems that Fanime is the same weekend as KublaCon, and although it is further away (San Jose) it is apparently one of the 10 biggest anime cons in North America, so I'll be doing that instead.
