Meaning of life had some good songs... i wasn't so happy about the resturant sketch, but the galaxy song is very intelligently written, so I do like that. Honestly live at the hollywood bowl is one of hte best I think!
Hmmmmmm yeah, but you see the problem with that is that pseudo alliteration does not carry the connotation (even normal alliteration) that it is a tongue twister. Alliteration is mainly a poetic form to enhance a point or bring attention to a single word within the sentene which carries the impact or the message
Eh, truth is the most powerful thing in the world. I prefer to only deal in terms of the truth, it may cause pain in the short term but in the long term its alot easier to deal with. personal findings of course.

I liked when they said "it's a girl" and then they commented about not labeling the poor baby lol Oh the fish? they were annoying. they annoyed me so much we skipped them after the first two times they showed up. They werent funny at all.
Yeah I know lol I was just messing with it ^_^
Truth is a rare thing these days. It's either the bloody news that I scream at or some new fantasy book that comes out and is drooled over by over-sexed teenagers or under-sexed middle aged .... people.... O.O;; Both are very, very scary groups to be around let alone the target of their mass drooling. O_O;; You'd take a shower and their drool would be in the pipes O_O;;
I write my truths in stories that don't scream (however they are a bit obvious lol) what's happened in my life. But in my stories, I don't have any secrets. I write because I have emotions and because shit happens and we deeal with it the best we can. Writing is my way of dealing with it. It's life. And people should know that they arent alone. My writing is for myself but for others like me. I'm not the only one who's lost their only sibling or other things that have happened to me. Today is year 3. And it's not AS hard as it was but it still hurts. *shrugs* but I solved a problem today and I told someone to stop being a whiney bitch - which he needs to hear. So I think today was a pretty good day. ^_^

Hahaha yeah, that was pretty cool... and the machine that goes ding! but yeah,, the fish were quite possibly the most annoying thing I have had to deal with in a while!! hmmm still aren't funny either....
It is.. sadly enough.... there are too many people obsessed with the self and gain to worry about the truth.. but even more just cannot deal with it... honestly I prefer the truth in all forms, I find i can get over things easier iif im told the truth.. of course that doesn't mean I always believe it hte first time.. I am somewhat of a cynic.. but still im allowed my doubts!

Ah, too true; TouchΓ©.
I have to admit Peakeβs imagery and writing style made the first two books very addicting- and his characters of the Gormenghast kingdom did outdo the characters of Titus Alone by a long run- especially Titusβ family: Fuchsia, the Countess, and Sepulchrave. Steerpikeβs cunning got on my nerves before the end, though his demise was so incredibly stimulating. I adored that battle in the flooded water, and believed- even though he had no fault in Fuchsiaβs death- that Fuchsia did receive vengeance for her drowning with his execution. Titus himself was better-liked by myself within the first too books as well. Butβ¦ I still have yet to find a book I have not enjoyed- so I canβt say too ill on Titus alone.
As for your fire displays in your gallery- I love them! I always adored a good fire danceβ¦ though I would end up starting a forest alight if I tried that here. βClumsy-
I have friends in Australia, Btw

Indeed!
Sorry just wanted to bring in another monosyllabic additional
I do agree though, while I did enjoy the Kingdom of Gormenghast it was disappointing to all of a sudden leave this world that he had built up so perfectly. But the final battle was very exciting, and I do agree, as was with Titus saying it, it was a good 'revenge' for Fuchsia. I did really like hte mother tho, she was so intelligent but she never relaly used it, and when she did she was such a powerful character. But I really did feel sorry for the wild thing... i wish something (other than death) could have come from that. As for the last book, it wasn't that i didnt enjoy it... but I have read many boks that were way better. and it was more of a disappointment that anything else for me. especially after the first two books.
Tell me did you ever see the BBC series? if not I highly suggest you go out and either buy it or rent it. its a very very very good series, and they spent a fortune (and it was a flop because no one knew what it was) but the characters were designed (clothes and appearance) perfectly, they even got in a trained white crow for the mother... it was amazing!
And thank you very much, its good fun to go out and have a spin. Have you ever tried it before? I really love taking people out who are completely afraid and teaching them. you'd be surprised, like most other things in life if you can get over thte fear of it, its very much an enjoyable experience. While yes I have burnt myself a few times its just part of the learning process, nothing serious. its alot safer than most people think. Personally I just really love the circus arts. they're very... visually pleasing. who knows, you may end out to be really good at it!
Ohhh nice! Im from Melbourne down in the south (Victoria). its fun down here... very variable, but fun all the same!
what part of America are you in? If you don't mind me asking?
π: 0 β©: 1
FongWingChung In reply to IAC [2009-10-05 02:14:11 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I did wish a better ending for the Wild thingβ¦ I enjoyed how Titus loved her so much. And yeah- it was sort of (considerably speaking) a culture shock to transfer over from the first two novels to the third. As for seeing the BBC series, Lol yes- and I agree. The only thing I thought it didnβt capture would perhaps be my own imagination of the world. It was more elegantly Gothic within my head rather than incredibly eccentric. Jonathan Rhys Meyers was brilliant as Steerpike and Celia Imrie as The Countess was absolutely brilliant.
I havenβt tried fire dancing though I do believe it would be very fun. The trouble is finding someone brave enough to teach me how to do so. I used to do gymnastics, Kung Fu, and fencing but I have gradually stopped doing such. I would love to be trained in anything to do with the circus though, hands down. As for my location- I live right next to The Rockies, and I mean- literally- right next to them. They dominate the skyline just by looking out the window.
Melbourne eh? I believe I know- or knew- someone living there- they might have moved since.

HMmm, I felt that in the BBC series they missed out on so much with the Wild Thing. but it was still well done. the book was just so descriptive so it must have been so easy for costume design.. or hard I guess if they wanted to play around with the costumes. What is amazing is its one of the few sci-fi books that is in no way linked or influenced by lord of the rings.. however I personally think its so much better than lord of the rings. ugh... stupid series... anyway! Yeah, as soon as I found out that it was a tv series I went out and got it. and watching how they did all the effects was just amazing. Ahh my persona fav was the professors, I mean who amoungst us does love Stephen Fry? All of the characters were so well done, and the twins were really done very well as well. quite spooky. But i do agree, they could have made it a little more gothic.
Of it is an incredibly fun thing to do, almost on a primal level, but at the same time its just fun messing around, it helps loosen pretty much your entire body as well, and back in teh day, I never relaly did any martial arts, I was more of an athletics kinda guy, so I loved jumping and running. and yeah... I just really love anything like that. and this mixes in pretty much whatever, and I've always been a fan of magic/circus arts, so this also keeps the fingers nimble! Gym is good fun tho
Oh wow... thats amazing.. the view must be beautiful to wake up to... I sadly wake up every morning to a side street and the cat on the window sill trying to get in... meowing at me at 6:00 this morning! oh well yeah.. .I live about... 15 mins from the city, so im in an oaky area, where I am its quiet.. i much prefer the quiet to any other place to live.. if I had my way I'd either live in a forest or near a beach.. just somewhere a little more..natural than busy urban..... gah! anyway
well.. now you do know someone living there

Thank you very much for the comment, the watch, and the fav!! I fully appreciate it.
Yes, I do agree Gormenghast was an astounding trilogy; completely worth a number of Kudos. As for the third novel- it wasβ¦ differentβ¦ but I still enjoyed Peakeβs creativity and imagination on all ends. I wish Titus had gone back to Gormenghast in the end though- itβs a place worth living at. βnod-
Again- thanks!

You're more than welcome! you have a very smooth and beautiful style!
The first two were jsut amazing, especially the chapter about the birds, useless from a literary point of view but artistically astounding. The third novel... to me it was a disappointment, it had brought it about in a semi-steam-punk middle ages novel and to suddenly change it to a Sci-fi, I felt, was a little bit too much. and because the son's took over, you really could notice the writing change. lets face it, no one can write like Myrven. Either way a book I've never read anything like before. very good taste!

I asked a friend today if she would go with me to Australia lol. Aaah..! I cant believe he could do that! His performance at the competition was unbelievable, with that injury.. I mean, only TWO jumps?! this world championship was the best ever. well, except for Yelena Isinbayeva..
Im fine thanks! Have been in London and practiced parkour with a lot of people, fantastic city. I even trained with a guy from Australia, a very nice and funny guy! He liked my shakti mat (bed of plastic nails)and thought I was crazy when I said it didnt hurt to lay down on it, because he thought it did! lol.
How are you and how's training? Are you pole vaulting anything?

oohhhhh nice! that would have been awesome for you!! how did you go with it all?must have been so exciting! I wish that australia had more parkour places.... tis a bit sad.. London almost looks like its been made for parkour!!!
HAhahaa yeah.. those things are fine! just so long as you spread your weight out, tis the trick
yeah.. training has been taking a back seat sadly at the moment, work has really taken over my life, I've been "promoted" and yeah.. the whole boss role really takes it out of me by the time I get home.. i really need someone motivating me to ensure that i go for a run and all that... its a bit sad.... been playing guitar tho.. so im getting really good at that!

Haha.. Well, I wont be coming to Australia this year, but some day. I've always wanted to go there, and even more sense my cousin was there. I saw her video when she jumped parachute and OMG the view was SO beautiful! I've always wanted to do that, and now I only want to do it in Australia. lol
But seriously, I will go to Australia when my neck is better so I can work. Then I can be there for some months and work my way ahead. I've heard its easy to get a job there, especially if you're from Scandinavia (that's the good part beeing Swedish, apparently we have good reputation all over the world when it comes to working! Kind and hard-working ) Melbourne will definitely be on my map! And you will have to show me where Steven Hooker usally train! haha.. I might even force you to be my guide in Melbourne, are you up for that??
I did put my shakti mat at my head and told him to press as hard as he could though..he thought that was really funny and yelled for his friends to see what he could do to me without me thinking it hurts! lol. I just laughed
Ah..that's too bad. But congrats to the promotion!
lol! stop playing guitar hero dammit!! Get your ass out and start jumping! You promised to do one for me, remember? SO GO OUT AND DO IT!! haha
Im awesomely and you're awesomely and we're all awesomely!! (okay, Im sick, but you know.. still awesomely!) And I will definitely go to Australia some day.

OOhhhhh wow, thats awesome! if you don't mind me prying, but where abouts did she go? did she come down to good old Melbourne? thats pretty cool though. I think she had the right idea as well, you do the whole "work and travel" thing, that way you can stick around for a while and you meet an entirely different demographic that way as well! but it would be so much fun!!!
Awww thats awesome!!! my sister says that france is amazing.. and my brother agrees.. sadly Im still the only child in the family who hasnt been out of the country... but this january!! Japan here I come!!! but yeah... I would still love to come to Sweden! i think it would be so awesome over there! but hey if you need a place to crash while you're over here, id welcome you with open doors! but you really should come! its a fun place over here!
Ahhh stick!!!! but, okay... ill let you do that..... only if i get to chase you with a stick as well!! maybe not as big as your stick, but I still get to chase you okay??
hmmm i could do that... if you want, I could send you a whole lot... i used to use this internet thing called "yousendit" and it send big files.. if you want I can zip a whole lot of her songs for you... what do you have? cause then I can make sure you get as many as possible.. i have pretty much every song she's done! any particular album you'd like and so on?

You should definitely come to Europe and Sweden some day! To see eh.. the snow. lol
Sweet. Im counting on that open door!

Ohhhh yeah! I'll have to crash your place then no idea when that will be... prob not for a few years yet but I will have to come visit!
HAHaha okay, well let me know when ur going to make it
OH really? well Im sure Im just as stubborn and I know that id be able to catch you! Its not so much that id win over you, but I would be able to catch you and at least take away your whacky stick!
