Ed Boon just showed to us how you give quality to a fighting game. Extended story mode that takes place after the main one and involves the DLC characters including the new ones like Fujin and Sheeva and we get a special guest that is Robocop plus the return of "Friendships".
THIS is how you show passion, love and quality to a fighting game. Harada and Murray from the Tekken team, Capcom and Team Ninja need to take notice instead of keep pushing and pandering to the freaking annoying eSports.

Yeah. And bringing back Sheeva was a smart move, not only because she was in the story mode, but also because we need a Shokan on the roster. I mean, every MK game (with the exception of Deadly Alliance and MKvsDC) had at least one Shokan (whether as a non-playable boss or playable character).

Hey, man. I really gotta say I'm happy that Street Fighter X Tekken is non-canon. Heck, I was not fond of Ibuki being Rolento's teammate. That made no sense. In my opinion, Guy should've been her teammate, and Cody should've been Rolento's teammate.

That's not the only issue there. They made LOTS of mistakes. Here, let me list them all:
- Tekken characters are all ridiculusly turned into edgy OOC assholes. Even characters that aren't supposed to be that way like Julia. Yes, my friend. Julia Chang. One of the purest characters of the Tekken roster acts like a total bitch in her win quotes against the others. Xiaoyu is treated like a pure yandere character in Jin's reguards but in reality while Xiaoyu is in love with Jin it is not because she is mentally obsessed with him, she wants to help him but it's not like she would go "Jin is MINE!1!1!".
Jin acts like a total emo douchebag and ruining him even further (Worse than how Harada did to him in Tekken 6 onwards)
- Lots of non-sensical teams like the one you just talked about, Ibuki and Rolento. But even some others like Juri & Bison. I mean what? Juri fucking HATES Bison with a burning passion. The second she sees him she would immediately try to kill him. She would never EVER team up with him (Project X Zone 2 did it again and portrayed Juri as a mere villain even like that she's Bison's henchwoman and totally overlooking how she really is in the games). Zangief & Rufus also was an idiotic team. And to think this was just the beginning as Tekken Tag Tournament 2 would take the non-sensical teams to the next level.
- What they did to Megaman. I'm not a huge fan of the character but I agree that what they did was utterly dissrespectful.
- Win quotes in general are just bad. Like REALLY bad. Not even the King Of Fighters characters from SNK had these types of cringy, forced edgy quotes. Some do not even apply to the character relationships from the series and act as if they don't know eachother (A good example is the quotes between King and Julia Chang as the two are acquaintances in the Tekken universe and are friends but here in the quotes they act like they don't know eachother) Someone told me that the reason is because they were trying to appeal to the western audiance. Well, then this to me feels like they didn't understand how it works if it's true. Also, why would they try to appeal to the western audiance? The way they usually portrayed the characters in the quotes was already fine. Thankfully in Street Fighter 5 they redeemed themselves when it comes to that.

Also, the only teams I was okay with were Ryu and Ken (obviously) and Chun-Li and Cammy, but that's about it.

Just out of curiosity, is there a character you wish had been included in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition rather than Seth? For me, it's a choice between either Rolento or Elena.

Agreed with them as well. Sean would be nice to have back. He's basically the Street Fighter equivalent to Kai (from Mortal Kombat), in that both characters continue to get overshadowed to this day.

I always thought that Sean got an unfair bad treatment. I heard that when he was created he was supposed to be Ryu and Ken's successor in the new generation...something that fans didn't like at all. So because of this, Ryu and Ken were brought back and Sean was forcefully turned into a joke/comic relief character and be the Dan Hibiki of the Street Fighter 3 games. If you reflect, Sean doesn't even look like the type of character to have that kind of treatment which is why he deserves better.

Were you surprised to see that Seth is not only returning in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, but also has a so-called "gender change" while maintaining his voice?

I sighed hard upon realizing that it was Seth returning since before the announcement I kept seeing people saying "Seth is coming back" and I was like "What, him? Didn't he already die? C'mon we don't need him back.". Someone even said: "Call it, it's gonna be a female Seth" and I was going like: "What's with people saying it's Seth coming back?"
Then, the announcement arrives, the reveal trailer is released...and I was "Shit...sometimes I hate when people are right."Β
But then reflecting I felt that maybe Seth returning could be needed for some development of Juri's character. I mean he managed to survive by merging his old body with a new female one that bears a resemblance of Juri's apperance. Which is interesting, other than the fact that Seth is now officially a "Waifu-Husbando" character. xD

Sorry for the late reply. So well, I kind of predicted his return since he did appear at the end of A Shadow Falls so him eventually returning as a playable fighter in the 5th game didn't really surprise me. But I must say, his return also left me relieved, because before he was revealed I remember a tweet from Yoshinori Ono saying that he has found the perfect fighter to put in the game by showing a video of someone performing a stunt that looks like some sort of Capoeira so people assumed it was Elena but he said that it's not her (I don't know if this deconfirms her or not, but I hope she will eventually come back). Then I looked back at how this person performed that stunt in the video...and there was only one character that could do something like that...and that was Rufus. So I was going like "Oh please no." because yes, I am not a fan of Rufus. But then Gill was revealed and I was relieved. Although chances are, that they will probably put more characters in the Champion Edition.
