I know bits and pieces, like that he can only have his powers under a yellow sun, he has heat vision, x ray vision, microvision, super hearing, super strength, flight, invulnerable to earth weaponry that isn't kryptonite armed, freeze breath super speed and I think most of his natural senses are heightened as a general rule for super powered heroes why?

WHAT do you know of his vulnerability to magic? Do you understand that it's as natural to him as any mortal? The reason I'm asking is that I'm having some trouble with a guy on my DEATH BATTLE post of Captain Marvel vs Hulk. Take a look and you'll see what I mean.

well as far as i know superman and all kryptonians base their being on logic and order which is science but the influence of earth is more elementally based and so all things like gods, magic etc are a kind of antimatter of all things kryptonian which then cause them to have what ever effect they have, although superman is brought up on earth his genetics are still set (how ever long krypton has existed for) as a kind of default genetics if that makes sense? so when the earthly elements come into play they end up disrupting the default genetics hope this helps

 Wow, that's not at all how that stuff works dude. They're of the same universe. And Kryptonians were advanced in science and other fields but were still religious. Super, while highly resilient to many things, is still as vulnerable as any mortal is to magic. Unless of course they defend for it. Superman is vulnerable to kryptonite because the radiation it gives off gives him great pain do to the fact it interrupts his powers and physiology.

 Let's try an example. A man in plain clothes can be stabbed with a sword but a man in armor can't. Superman on his own can be heart by most magic, depending on how it's used.
 If it's enchanted then there's like a 50/50 chance it will harm him depending on how the magic is used on said object, like if it's a blunt object and it was enchanted not to break then Superman couldn't break it on his own. But if it's a sword that was designed to not break then it could cut him, so long as it's sharp. Magical force fields will hold up to Superman's strength, but for how long depends on their construction. Magical fires, magic lightning, and other magical elements that the ordinary versions would hurt an ordinary mortal will hurt Superman do to the fact that he's vulnerable to the magical properties that reside in them, so that's why he can be hurt by magical attacks that use fire, lightning, or etc.. But if it's earth or water then it's not such a problem, well unless they're used in some way that would harm him. But don't let that make you think Superman is unable to have magic used on him beneficially. Magic isn't an allergy to him. He can touch most magical objects and be healed by it.

thing is i researched it on comic vine and someone wrote this as an explanation, all Kryptonians are all science based and their religion itself is based on the fundamental fact of Science. magic is an earthly Element that consist of the governance of the 4 elements and the three layers of Humanity that is mind, body and spirit. The same way the Sun allows him to have his strength as soon as he is on Earth he is subject to our laws and that is magic, gravity and our Sun. 
Since he is of Kryptonian nature that is based on fact that means that his mind, body and spirit themselves are based on the fundamentals of Science in this case Magic is the anti matter of Krypton it goes against all sacientific proof and logic, unsurping the kryptonian science/ or rather Krypton itself.since Superman is Kryptonian and falls under its laws, magic would be his weakness since it is the weakness/ exception/ Achilles heel of everything that is Kryptonian in nature

thing is i understand that his powers derive from the yellow sun and i maybe wrong but i think yellow suns differ from red suns because the yellow suns generate uv rays which red suns do not, so from that as you say magic interrupts that process and thus causes harm to him

Oh boy. Belief and genetics don't go hand in hand or the oppossite. If they did then the Earth wouldn't be so messed up or it may be even worse. And let me put this simple. Krypton and Earth are part of the same universe. Just because Superman is Kryptonian doesn't mean another planet is going to change the rules for him. The reason Superman gets his powers from the Earths yellow sun is because kryptonian physiology evolved to handle the radiation a red sun gave off, so under a yellow sun kryptonian physiology absorbs the radiation it gives off like a solar battery, super charging his body to allow for his many powers.

I'm not saying you're wrong all I'm saying is that's the research i found, but I do agree with you on the effect the 2 suns have on kryptonians especially when there are solar flares because I remember in the early series of smallville there was a solar flare or some kind of disruption to the sun which caused his powers to go haywire either they worked more than usual or barely anything but there is one thing that does baffle me, kryptons gravity field is stronger than earths which is why superman can fly but for some reason when there's either a red sun or blue kryptonite it some how takes away his ability to fly which surely wouldn't come into effect as it's something to do with gravity not a means of the sun or am I just overthinking it?

Honestly I've never understood how Superman's ability to fly works. And so you know Smallville is an interpretation of Superman when he was starting out with his powers and later his career. Actually it occurs in an alternate universe from that of the prime Superman's universe, so it's different.
