I do mainly pixel art and origami. I'm an animation major so I know how to use 3D software like 3DS Max and I'm learning ZBrush.I like Flash a lot too but I now prefer pixels to vectors.

Haha Wow Thanks, I've done a few low poly models myself too, it's really fun, Β especially trying to emulate the style of nintendo 64 (keeping under 500verts in other words), you have some pretty interesting stuff yourself, if you don't mind me asking, what do you use to model, and how long does a animation take to render for you?

Nice! I'm honestly not aware of the proper limitations for systems; I just try to keep it as low as possible. I use 3D Studio Max by Autodesk to model and the pixel texture stuff that I do takes pretty much no time to render, like under 10 seconds most of the time. I use one light in the scene that basically casts flat lighting and eliminates shadows, so I put the lighting scheme in the textures and any ground shadow is just a flat cylinder.

ah thats pretty fast and it comes out looking really nice, I use Blender and because of some of the settings I use it takes a long time to render stuff, I've always wanted to do animations but it takes like 6 minutes per frame heh.

Ah I want to learn both of those so bad. A professor I had last semester was super convinced that Maya 2015 was the current best software. And Blender is just plain free so learning that would be good for anyone. I just know 3DS Max.

Oh sure, I'd like to be familiar with all three so I can be more flexible for work.
They all have their own pros and cons, but from what I've heard once you learn one it's not too hard to learn the others :3
