# About me
This pic is from my other account on here (Undertheunknown)Hm, about me....well. I love photography and recently got into BJDs. I'm in highschool and have no clue what I want to do 'longterm' so... heh.
Other than that, I have two dogs and a pet snake who's about three or four months old. She's an opal corn snake (name's Astra). And...Ah, my Zodiac sign is Cancer. I find astrogolgy to be very accurate. The real astrology that is. Not that crappy Yahoo/ Aol daily 'horoscope' stuff.

Thanks for the !
Opal corn snake? Sounds awesome!
I've got a striped desert phase kingsnake, or whatever it's called.

No problem
Yeah, I should post a picture of her soon or something. Doll's been getting all the lens attention, and my baby has shed a couple times. I really should keep track of her changes with the camera.
Striped desert phase kingsnake? Sounds neat! I'll have to look them up. I haven't looked into kingsnakes much

I can't wait to see new pictures!
Yeah, kingsnakes don't have as much color variety as ball pythons. Waaay less color. Plus, since mine's young, he's slightly aggressive, but I managed to get him used to my presence.

Ah, I kinda want an aggresive one lol. Want to tame them. Mines a sweetheart though. Good first snake and long time friend.
Yeah, it just takes handling them everyday, a little at a time until they settle and then increase the amount of time. I let mine hide in my pocket for a while after she got calmer (not that she was ever nippy, just squirmish) and she loved it and felt safer in there. Still likes my pockets too lol.
How old is your kingsnake?

Aww, she let you put her in your pocket? That's so sweet.
The aggressiveness is a little challenge, that actually depends how agressive, lol.
My kingsnake I would say is about 2 years old. And his name is Widget. He's a funny little guy, one time he looped around one of the belt hoops on my jeans.

Aww, that's so cute! XD I've never heard of a snake doing that.
Yes, Widget! It seemed to suit him better than plain ol' "Stripey."

Hehe, I think they just like going somewhere they feel safe and warm. So the pocket it heaven for her.
I do like Widget better than stripey, gives him a little something different

No problem at all, it's beautiful ^^
What do you use to edit your photos if you dont mind me asking?

Patch-UE In reply to Noename [2009-11-04 13:18:37 +0000 UTC]
Don't mind at all
A lot of my photos are HDR, a digital technique where you shoot lots of differently exposed frames of the same scene then blend them to get more detail in the shadows and highlights. That particular photo was 9 different exposures, blended in software called Photomatix. I then used Adobe Photoshop to increase the contrast, and then lowered the saturation so the colours weren't so bold. I find doing this makes the details (like in the ceiling) come through stronger.
As always though you cant make up for poor composition with any ammount of clever tweaks and edits. I think its the strong lines drawing you in that make it work more than anything else, the editing is just an enhancement I like to think

Thank you so much! ^^
I'll definatly try it out sometime.
And yes, I know what you mean. A good picture is more composition than editing by far. Editing is just...finishing touches. Enhances the mood and desired message.
