Just looked at your gallery and I am impressed. The details are excellent, the style good, the ink work is strong and the expressions on your characters are great. Perspective's not bad, but could really be looked into more and improved to make some really dynamic work. Backgrounds can use the same.

CAD are suitable for layout designs and technic drawings.
it's not that hard to master it, as long as you know the command and the shortcut.

no its a BA or BSA in CAD with a architect or engineering emphasis is what they call it, but i want to get into boat design with it. Who knows what will come from it though but yeah im a univ. student. Wanted to do something that was artistic but yet still in the business side of things.

and what will you create with CAD? houses? engine? boat? plane?
by the way, when i made 3D for building, i start from CAD first, and then import it to MAX. that way, i can get more accurate than start it all from MAX.

yeah I can see that, i havnt been taught in cad yet but ive used maya before, i can see why you would do that; accuracy would be key then go into a modeling program and mess with it haha. boats is what i want to do in the long run but ill need experience first i am going to be meeting with a good friend of my dads that is starting a civil engineering company and possibly in 4 years he could end up hiring me as an intern or an employee to start me out; the idea is to design boats, then become the head of a boat design company; then owner; the invest in other things; sell it all and retire hahahah and live on my awesome boat i designed.

for maya, i use maya only to create characters and shapes, not for technical draw..
beside maya, i also use poser.
