I'm glad I stumbled upon your work. I am a big fan of that style of comic art, it has always appealed to me. It looks simple, however it is really hard to pull off correctly. You do a great job with it, and I will definitely try to track down some of your work. I would love for you to do a sketchbook, and I also love your Diver character. Really great stuff, man.

Thank you. I am very influenced by Drew Struzan, and people point that out a lot. I think you can probably relate to that kind of thing. I say if you're going to be influenced by other artists, at least pick the best and try not to be too derivative and make it your own. I think we both succeed in doing that.

i totally understand what you're saying. i hear the old phrase "hey, your work looks like...". and, they're not wrong in saying it, but i do try to add my own spin on the style. its just a matter of time until the influences start to be less and less obvious. i look back at stuff i did 3 years ago and realize how similar my stuff looked to mignola's. i just hope the changes i've made in my work are apparent to others as well.

Great work (as usual). Please don't think that I am really stupid, but I only lately heard of sketch cards. Apparently the idea is only catching on in the U.K. but has been going for some time in U.S.A.
May I ask if you sell originals on ebay or prints? I am only interested for selfish reasons. I don't think I could do reasonable work so small, but was wondering if A4 or A3 work was photographed and printed 'sketch-card' size , would that be acceptable.

I usually sell originals, but have sold prints as well. It is something you should think about trying, but I personally have not had too much success with prints. I know of a lot of artists that do though. I'm sure you could reduce some larger works printed as cards and sell them. Good luck to you.
