Favorite visual artist: Wayyyy too many for me to pick favorites... Just thinking of this site alone is overwhelming!Favorite movies: Scifi/Fantasy, and usually any subgenre of them. Too many for specifics. Currently obsessed with Dungeon Punk.
Favorite TV shows: I like cartoons and animu and superheroes and dramas and those kinds of things not fitting for my age.
Favorite bands / musical artists: The age old cop out of "I listen to what's good." applies. I honestly just judge things more on a song by song basis than genre or band.
Favorite books: See movies.
Favorite writers: See books, and by proxy, movies. :D (I'm so lazy.)
Favorite games: RPGs, Fighting Games, Action Games, Action RPGs.... Heheh. If you dangle Soulsborne, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, Pokemon, and most things by Platinum I basically froth at the mouth.
Favorite gaming platform: Wii(U), Xbox 360, PS4, Gameboy to 3DS and everything in between, PC
Tools of the Trade: Ugee 1910 Graphics Tablet, Macbook Pro and Asus PC, Paint Tool Sai, Photoshop CC, Sketchup, and Microsoft Word (Scripting and Whatnot)

Hello all!I'm just a simple dude studying animation that desperately wants to be a webcomic artist or animator someday.

Hi! I'm a bit concerned about the pace that My Oath to You is going at.
It's been two months since the prologue and we've had two more deviations afterwards. If you post page 2 tomorrow, at the rate you're at, it's going to be a year until you're only six pages in. Hopefully it being summer helps you work faster, but there'll still be an awfully long gap between pages, which would cause this to be a 3, 4, or 5 year project, and that's no fun for anybody.

I knew it was only a matter of time before someone said something.
As I posted on the journal, I didn't really have time to do a lot of work on it towards the end of the semester. Lots of stuff was going on and all that. I was swamped for about 5 weeks.
But since Summer started, I have been working. I even posted previews on my tumblr and during the livestream to show people that I was working on it.
Now that Summer is in full force, I've been working on it hard in-between real life stuff. But there have been a few drawbacks; such as me not knowing how to approach my humans. That, however, is temporary. I've already resolved it. Some hurdles are jumped when starting this, but when I do continue to get this down, it'll end up being much, much faster. I can guarantee that.
This is the first time I've ever done a fully drawn comic. Ever. I'm a total noob and even looking at the first page; it shows. But I'm getting better, and the better I get, the faster it'll be.
In short; don't fret. I'm working on it now, and as I post more and more pages, I'll get faster at it as well. I even added a little text box on the page to show what I'm working on at the moment.
Also; no need to be so formal about it.

It's all good. I want to keep everyone updated in such a way that they'll know what my progress is without relying on obnoxious dA journals. Tumblr seemed like the best one considering my rampant dislike of Twitter and whatnot.
It's not so much about who I'm better than. That's not the point, because anyone can improve. It's about that I'm not up to the standard I set for myself. But that's what I'm aiming for, so... 
I am a noob though. I only started working digitally this year, and the top panel of the first MOTY page is like the first background I've ever drawn. But hey, practice is what the comic is for!

what program do you use more often? Photoshop or Paint Tool Sai?

I use Sai to sketch and lineart, and Photoshop to color and value.
If I'm digital painting (IE: No lineart), I use Photoshop since I've used it longer, but I'm gradually becoming more and more attached to Sai in that regard as well, especially as I get more brush sets.
Backgrounds are done in Photoshop and Sai, depending on the background and how technical it is. If it requires architecture and a lot of straight lines, it'll be Photoshop for the ease. But if it's like a painting-esque or natural background with vibrant color and flowly lines, it's all about the Sai.
Photoshop for text and word bubbles, straight up.
In my opinion, Photoshop tends to be more versatile, but Sai is a much, much better drawing tool. I envy people that can draw well in Photoshop, because Sai's vast number of methods to make digital drawing painless and expressive is astounding and it spoiled me rotten. There's a reason people flock to it.
I used to use Flash to draw before I got Sai because of line smoothing, but Sai's stabalizer is just tops.
I don't regret investing in Photoshop though. Not one bit.
TL;DR:
I use both equally for different areas, and would recommend both.

How do you use the stabalizer in Sai?

At the very top of Sai you can see the drop-down menu with the word "Stabilizer" on it. It goes from 1-15, and then S1-S7
1-15 keeps your tracking 1/1 and uninterrupted, but smooths the lines. 0 being no smoothing at all, while 15 does maximum smoothing. It means you draw freely, but Sai is making your lines go down an intended path rather than following your hand's precise movements, meaning your lines won't be shaky and whatnot.
S1-S7 stabilizes your strokes, making your brush move for accuracy while sacrificing speed. It's jarring but effective. It essentially guarantees smooth, pretty, and pleasing lineart, but at a much slower pace.
I usually keep my stabilizer at around 10 when sketching, because it helps a bit, then put it on S5 or S7 when linearting to make the lines as smooth as possible. But it's a bit of a crutch, and I'm attempting to graduate to lower levels to rely more on my skill than the program.
It's a great learning tool, but it's not good to rely too much on it. My personal goal is to be able to have my lineart look great while using 15 at the absolute max. Not even going in the S territory
