I'm doing great. But I'm stuck home today bc it's rainy season and I can't even see outside my window through all the mist. Did I tell you my house is on the 40th floor of an apartment complex and on cloudy days I basically live inside a cloud. If I open a window the cloud comes into my house and gets everything wet >:0
Later I'm going out for a steak bc I've been watching Hannibal and that show makes me so hungry. I don't like it quite as much as other people seem to though. I'm too in love with the Hannibal Lecter movies/books and I'm finding it hard to get used to all the changes in the show. Have you seen it?

YES especially since I honestly thought I was going to completely fail this one, but then I sat down and did it and it really wasn't that bad? Only one question completely stumped me, but otherwise it was a total breeze.
BUT THAT'S ACTUALLY SUPER COOL ISN'T IT? Have I ever told you that one day I want to live in a really tall building, lmao. I don't know, it seems really nice in my head. Well, except the getting everything wet part. DON'T LET THAT CLOUD EAT YOUR SKETCHES, BOXMATE.
Sadly, I don't think I've ever really read the Hannibal Lecter books, nor seen the movies. I am srsly not exposed to as much stuff as I would like to be. But I am super in love with cannibals (not in real life though lmao) so I will probably pick those up at some point. AND ACTUALLY I marathoned Hannibal just the other day. I think it is pretty interesting, but I agree that I'm not as super into it as some people. Will is a total cutie though, and I can see why you would want to mentally torture him ahahaha.
(Also, have you seen the episode where the victim ends up with her mouth slit up the sides? I really like that look. I may or may not borrow it in the future for an OC or something.)

Living in a tall building is nice because there are less bugs, and I get a great view, and that's pretty much it.
I've been trying to watch Hannibal online but they take forever to stream. I really recommend the books/movies because you'll notice pretty much everything is just...completely different. And they're honestly...better, so far as I've seen (Except Hannibal Rising--that was just terrible). I'm only 4 episodes or so into Hannibal so I can't make judgments but there are a number of things that made me not so happy so far.
Firstly that Hannibal keeps killing people just to mess with Will. I loved the original Hannibal so much because he "only ate the rude." There was always some kind of provocation from the victim, no matter how insignificant (i.e. they were an asshole), that gave you some measure of satisfaction when they were grotesquely murdered. Either that or the murder was necessary to make a getaway. TV Hannibal killed innocent little girls he didn't even know because "he thought they were pigs" and wanted to make a statement. That just didn't sit right with me :I Also his accent is so hard to understand @u@;
The murders are creative to the point of being surreal, but there's so little attention paid to the victims? I don't know if that changes as the series goes on but it's like...they find people buried alive with fungus growing on them and the forensics team just stands there and cracks jokes? No matter how desensitized you are to death that's just plain rude. It's like victims are just disposable props to Will and Hannibal's twisted courtship and that just takes away from the thrill of hunting down killers.
Lastly I hate everything about the character Freddie Lounds. Pretty much the only motivation for my watching the show is Freddie's eventual horrific death. So in a way she's a great and indispensable character--the show wouldn't be interesting without her there to fuck everything up.
(The Chelsea Grin is a great look yes. I haven't seen the episode though.)

HOW ARE THERE LESS BUGS? That issomething I never took into consideration, lmao. Not that that isn't great, ofc. I'm actually sort of allergic to bug bites, so the less bugs the better. VIEWS ARE GOOD THOUGH. Do you have a nice big window in your room?
Really? It never took TOO long for mine to stream. But I guess that could just be a matter of internet speed or something? BUT UM IF THAT IS THE CASE you know, with you hating why he kills and whatnot, then it doesn't really get much better as the show progresses. If anything, it gets worse. Though he DOES kill a few people out of necessity? Or, at least, what he views as necessary.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE ACCENT THING THOUGH. It took me like one or two episodes just to figure it out and I still sometimes don't understand what he's saying lmao.
Honestly, I think the lack of respect for victims and whatnot is actually one of the things that pisses me off about Freddie Lounds? I really hate her too, but seriously, she is so INSENSITIVE. And I get the whole "need to get a scoop" thing, but at the same point there really should be a limit to that? I mean, she has quite literally been the REASON a few people died. I seriously can't wait until she dies and if she doesn't I will be pissed.
(OFC YOU WOULD KNOW WHAT IT IS CALLED LMAO. Ptero has one of those sort of, so that's no surprise.)

Hannibal's greatest charm imo was that "whenever it was feasible, he preferred to eat the rude." Kind of like how Dexter kills killers. Without that little guideline to separate him he's just another sadistic manipulative serial killer, no matter how intelligent he may be :C and I've seen enough of those in Criminal Minds.
Can't expect any sympathy or respect from a tabloid blogger -q- Freddie is a character who exists to piss people off then die horribly. It's just a matter of if the show is going to reach that part.

I have never watched Dexter but my sister has and I know she is/was incredibly fond of it. ALSO I REALLY LIKE/LIKED CRIMINAL MINDS. I don't watch it so much anymore, but I really loved the team.
I can understand why he would lose some of his charm, though. PEOPLE WANT INTERESTING AND "NEW", not tried and (not so) true.
Apparently not, jeez. Which is honestly a little bit why I would never want to go into journalism? I mean obviously it isn't all like that. There are some quality journalists, I am sure. AND THERE ARE OTHER REASONS WHY I DON'T WANT TO, but bursting into peoples' lives is definitely one of them. And supposedly the show has been cleared for a second season? I'm not entirely sure how they're gonna swing it, due to recent events in the episodes. BUT WE'LL SEE.
Also baby GUESS WHAT. All my exams are done I AM SO THRILLED. Now just keeping my fingers crossed that I didn't fail anything and I'm GOOD TO GO FOR SUMMER. I also made a new writing shop to commemorate, but we'll see how long that lasts, lmao. I find the writing forum to be A TAD DULL, honestly. (Just don't tell anyone I said that. YES exactly. Though I really would like to do something related to writing, I don't know WHAT exactly. Unfortunately too, everyone keeps telling me that writing doesn't exactly get you anywhere in life and while I don't necessarily believe in letting people BRING YOU DOWN I do realize it isn't an easy life path sigh sigh. I liked being in the art shops forum better, because then at least artists would see my thread and just give it a go because why not? But they don't even see it in the writing forum SO. Also, more traffic in the art forum so, you know, more stuff to choose from and whatnot.
ALSO SADLY if you've checked out the writing forum, people generally sell their writing for real cheap, AND I AM GREEDY. I do not want to write for 20k okay. I DON'T KNOW HOW PEOPLE DO IT.
Though if I am being completely honest, a lot of the time I come back for writing is because I miss your characters, AHAHAHAAHA. I don't know, I just really like your babies, boxmate. So A+ to you.

You're always welcome in my place *u* I'm not even kidding my house is big enough and my parents are always telling me if any of my friends from America wants to visit Korea they can stay at our place for free. Of course my friends are either too busy or too broke for that. So yeah that's an actual option that exists -u-
I guess I take relatively good care of my body. I walk and exercise and eat healthy and am admittedly obsessed with being slim, because fashion. But I've never been totally fit, because I still spend too much time indoors. I want to know what it feels like to be strong and have muscles *q*
I think people need to realize that no path in life is a smooth ride and that if someone has something they have a passion for, and that passion is even practical, it's the luckiest thing in the world. You never know what can happen if you just keep working at what you're good at. Probably I'll start off as a freelance illustrator. I'd be happy doing pretty much anything creative though. I still have to see about going to art school, whether after I graduate college or as a transfer. I've got doubts that the things I'll learn in art school will be worth the tuition.
I haven't started my thread yet, gotta get in the mood to draw first @_@ I've been drawing a lot of requests lately. And yeh I haven't been in the writing forums in a long time @u@ (too many words, very few of them good)

Lmao YEAH, I CAN'T SEE KOREA BEING A CHEAP TRIP? Not only in airfare, but in ALL THE SOUVENIRS you'll want to buy. And the food too, of course. Although unfortunately, I don't know HOW MUCH of the food I would enjoy? Because when I think of Asian countries, I think of seafood, and I am super not a big fan unfortunately. I really do wish I was, because I'm missing out on a bunch, but SIGHS. (Though obviously I understand that seafood isn't the ONLY THING there, so it probably isn't that much of a problem.)
In the long run, I probably wouldn't be able to visit until you were back in America though, lmao. (Because I think you've said you intend on coming back? I'M NOT SURE IF THAT IS ACTUALLY THE PLAN THOUGH.)
Ahahaha, I think I was born with muscles. NOT SUPER GREAT ONES, but when I was living alone with my Mum and sisters, it was always me doing any heavy lifting. I would definitely like to work on them a bit more though. BOXES HAVE GOTTA BE TOUGH, YOU KNOW.
I'm honestly actually just a little worried about my "passion." Because while I love writing and reading, and I do it 24/7 pretty much, sometimes I doubt myself? Like could I REALLY do this for the rest of my life? Especially when I compare myself to other writers and they all have these super complex WORLDS IN THEIR HEAD and I'm just sitting here writing stories for Gaians, lmao. Probably just something I need to work through. Hopefully, anyway.
I don't know a WHOLE BUNCH about art school because I've never seriously looked into it myself, but I do hear a lot how it really isn't all that great? Or that if you go, don't go to a super expensive one because all it does is sort of get your foot in the door, but a year down the line you're all in pretty much the same spot anyway. OBVIOUSLY IT IS UP TO THE PERSON THOUGH and like I said, definitely not an expert on the topic, lmao. You wanted to go to an art school in NY or something though, didn't you?
