Hi there! ^_^ I'd be happy to help if I can! Let's see... Strangely enough I use really inexpensive water color paints; my favorites being Loew and Cornell, which usually come in a pack of 12 tubes or more. I do buy individual colors that aren't in this kit like Alizarin Crimson for example. For colors like those, I buy brands like Winsor and Newton. But for me, this Loew and Cornell kit was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

It's rather ironic too, since even my art teachers used to tell me all the time *NOT* to use them, but then, I've been using them now for almost ten years. All of the works in my gallery were done using these type of watercolor paints actually. I guess its something about the texture of the paint that I like, which gives my work that almost acrylic look to it. Who knows? Of course I can't guarentee that it'll work well for everyone, as I have heard others who claim that they like other brands much much more. But that's what works for me. I hope that helps! Fantastic! This is a huge help...I've just started out with one of those plastic trays full of cake watercolors. I actually love them, but it's difficult to get dark colors and was looking for something more opaque. Thank you so much for taking your time to advise!

Thanks a lot.... it was taken with a webcam - believe or not, but having the lighting from a lamp... and yes, retouched in photoshop

About my favorites, I had to choose between 'Beauty, Freedom, Love" and 'Sex, Drugs & Rock n' Roll', but there aren't so much pics about Drugs and RocknRoll

Oh Mike, it was a freaking BLAST! You really must go or you will never understand how truly gargantuan a show it is. Makes all the other shows seem like intimate social gatherings...which is a very good thing in it's own right. *LOL* We'll figure out a way to pack you in the suitcase come 2010.
