yes they are, and thank you! I was also amazed by how much faster I recovered compared to normal just by having vitamins C and D, and oregano oil every day And haha I think my late replies are worse >_>;
it is hehe

Oh, nice haha! At least you found something that helps you get better quicker

Yes! I'd definitely recommend drinking oregano oil (mixed with water of course tho! Yikes that would be horrible by itself lol) for whenever you get a cold, it really does help~
Have you already caught and fought off the fall seasonal cold series? They always come around at the start of the school year, gehΒ

Good to know (and to dilute haha). I might try that next time I'm sick
I haven't gotten sick yet, just dealing with allergies XP

Shelilla In reply to Tambian [2016-09-28 04:06:49 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, hopefully you'll find it helpful when the time comes owo
Thats a relief, even though I was using my sleeve to open literally every door and trying not to touch my face, I still managed to get sick in the end...though then again, maybe I just couldn't avoid it in the first place since it's such a big school But the warning signs are always there when you start hearing the sniffles O_O;
Really? What kind at this time of year??

Tambian In reply to Shelilla [2016-09-28 18:30:58 +0000 UTC]
I'm sure it will be
Oh no X( Yeah, it can be tough especially going into public x.x; At least you get warning signs haha
Ah, mine are from dealing with animals haha.Β

I suppose so, but it's pointless if you still can't escape it. It's like yellow fever from the 1800s or something lol
are you like working at an animal shelter?
π: 0 β©: 1
Tambian In reply to Shelilla [2016-09-30 05:35:04 +0000 UTC]
That's true, still gotta go in public even if you're getting the signs
Nah, just a pet store

I want to work at one as soon as I turn 16! But maybe in the reptile department only lol I'd be sneezing all day with cats or bunnies... is that the same with you? That must suck having to work like that...
speaking of which, funny story but the second day I had a cold, there was this random and very friendly cute black cat that was curled up under the bushes in our front yard and my dad happened to spot. All day I hadn't gotten a runny nose yet which was almost worse because my throat was sore and I felt congested. The cat was also very hairy, and after I started sneezing from all the fur, well...my nose got running from the cold. So in a funny way, a cat helped my cold (progress faster to get it over n done with)! Lol

I've worked at a pet store for 6 years haha. My store hires at 18, but some stores are different.
Haha, yeah, I'm rather allergic to the hamsters and such. Reptiles and fish work for me. I still deal with the others animals, just make sure I take my allergy meds hah.
Haha, how 'fun' XD At least it helped the cold progress quicker!

Shelilla In reply to Tambian [2016-10-03 16:57:04 +0000 UTC]
Whoa that's quite a long time owo
I haven't checked recently but I could've swore at Petland they hired at 16 (or I hope so)
really? That's interesting... I never thought I was allergic to rodents apart from rabbits, but one time at the pet store I was holding a (adorable) guinea pig that snuggled into my sweater and fell asleep >w< and I started sneezing..??
I totally want to work in the reptile department! What I don't want to do though is have to catch crickets (ugh but in that kind of job I'd have to...dammit) or bring out scorpions/tarantulas *shivers*. But I'd have so much fun teaching people about animals and caring for them I bet!
yes lol, and it was worth it cause the kitty was sooooo cute X3

Tambian In reply to Shelilla [2016-10-07 17:23:58 +0000 UTC]
Yeah haha.
I think it depends on the company
Haha, yeah, I'm allergic to guinea pigs too. I don't seem to react much to chincillas. Though, it seems some cats I react to???
I know several people at my work over the years who hate bugs. Sometimes they got over it, most of the time they have me deal with them XD
Right? Kitties are cute :>

Shelilla In reply to Tambian [2016-10-07 18:20:27 +0000 UTC]
and the job type *sighs* it's so confusing, I wish companies would just say the minimum age straight out instead of being so vague
I've never held a chinchilla as far as I know tbh. And me too, I think yeah it might be only long-haired cats (which is great) and I never realized because all the cats I've come into contact to have been long-haired (weird, huh? I never knew until like last year maybe cause that was the first short-haired I'd met)
ugh, especially when you own pets that eat them it's even worse. I stopped feeding my Leopard Geckos crickets a while ago just cause they were so nasty and disgusting. I'm absolutely fine with mealworms as long as I have tongs, because they can't jump. In fact I could say I love them compared to the cannibalistic, crap-eating, stinky, noisy (if you get males) and escapeable crickets. Gross.
yesh they are! <33

Tambian In reply to Shelilla [2016-10-13 17:16:16 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it's kindof a pain at times haha XD Most companies don't want to have to deal with parents so they do the 18 years thing.
They're super soft <3 And the babies are adorable
Haha and yet I encountered some short haired cats that do make me sneeze. Darnit XD I want a cat but who knows if it won't change after I get it to being allergic (I didn't start off being allergic to hamsters and such)
Haha, I never bred crickets because they stink but I bred roaches for my reptiles. I got allergic to those though so had to give my colony away haha

Shelilla In reply to Tambian [2016-10-19 20:47:47 +0000 UTC]
Omfg I bet <33 gosh I'm probably going to end up looking up baby chinchilla videos when I get home now.Β
Yes, I'm still not sure whether or not it's dander or fur? The point is, if there's a cat out there I'm not allergic to when I live by myself one day, I'm gonna adopt it! XD either that or go through treatment to get over my allergies. But idk how much it costs and it'd suck to feel allergic all the time. Still, the end result would be worth it!
wait what, you can get allergic to bugs??
What kind of reptiles can eat roaches? And also, tbh that sounds horrifying, because for one I learned recently roaches can fly *shudders in horror* and can't they like get out of any crack?!

Tambian In reply to Shelilla [2016-10-20 16:53:51 +0000 UTC]
Haha, hope you enjoy
I like cats :> Not sure if I'd have one even if I wasn't allergic, but we'll see haha. Hope you can find one that you aren't allergic to one day ^^ You can also get hypoallergenic cats but they're expensive haha
I think it's mostly their frass (poop) that I'm allergic to. If the bugs touch me, I get a bit itchy. If I breathe in the air while cleaning their cage I'll be feeling sick for like a week >.>
I have/had geckos that ate roaches. And some lizards that would too. The ones I had were considered 'dumb' and 'clumsy' haha. They can't climb smooth surfaces and where I live if they get out they die (too dry for them)

Shelilla In reply to Tambian [2016-11-01 15:11:12 +0000 UTC]
Me too, thanks ^^ oh is that so? Gah, that makes sense.Β
Eeew that sounds awful. The only bugs I could ever care for would be mealworms, earthworms, and caterpillars. Things you can keep in a container and NOT have to worry about getting out!Β
Those must've been powerful lizards! Were they like iguanas or monitors or what??
omg lol. I used to think my one Leopard Gecko was like that, but now I'm actually thinking she might be farsighted?! My dad just happened to mention it as a joke one time when I was telling him about how she sees things outside the tank and tries to attack them, but has trouble finding a mealworm right in front of her.
mine would freeze to death if that happened, omg. I've taken them outside only once before, but they got cold pretty fast. It was super cute after tho, because I put them under my shirt to warm them up and they both fell asleep on me.

It was one of my grandparents. My dad's dad. I was able to keep it pretty together until I saw my uncle and dad crying. But I'm lucky in that I "started" with six grandparents instead of four. So I still have three left Thank you for your concern
