Hello!
My name is Brian, or "Barkley" within the furry fandom. I've been a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog since 1995 and a Furry since July 2013. My fursona is a beaver.

I've been a huge fan of the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series since 2001 and I have collected over 200 issues of Sonic and its spin offs so far.

I'm a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College in recording tech, so I love audio recording and editing/mastering whenever I get the chance.

In 2014, I started doing photography as a hobby. I do some film, but mostly digital. You can view my work here:

Here at DeviantArt, I mostly like looking at other people's art, which is the main reason I'm here. I admire all the amazing artists here and love to support their artistic talent. On the rare occasion, I'll draw and submit some Sonic sketches, a picture of my fursona, or a photo that I believe has artistic quality.

Trance, haven't I told you on my youtube video that I research...I won't be yapping about if I didn't know it. First thing, I do art as a professional job. It's a teaching video, and I'm giving my best to be accurate as I can. So stop trying to prove I'm wrong...>__>;

It also depends what Sonic version I'm doing. Around 1998, Sonic went into a dark, navy blue phase that lasted for a while. Now he's going to much of a lighter tone to look classic. Simple explanation done.

Plus you must know fur can go in different shades when the light reflects. Plus he's a hedgehog, they have more of a odd, plastic like fur. That goes for their quills. I own one you know.

You're right about sonic being navy blue back around Sonic adventure time and it's true he has gotten lighter over the past few years or so. I've looked online and I've found many instances where he is referred to as being more of a cobalt blue. But really, he's just blue and that's what matters.
