I was in Israel, just 6-7 weeks ago... got a few nice photos myself but there were many wonderful places to take many photos and I didnt have time...

Well you should.
I really hate these days' politic situation with turkey, it becomes more radically Islamic, and radical, of any type, is a bad thing.

Anyway, Israel is often described as a small country that has it all, sea and desert, snow and mountains, holiness and civilisation.
You're most welcome to return.

I thought about taking a week or two in Turkey, traveling and hiking, maybe the Kachkar or somewhere. I'll see where that goes to.

I agree with you about the current politics situation and I hate it, too. But you should still fullfill your thought about travelling to Turkey (I suggest a tour of Anatolia,for all the different local traditions and nature, but of course if you have time :) (Smile) ).

And I also agree that "Israel is a small country but has it all". I'd really like to come back, have more time there and visit my friends. We'll see...

Well. I'm thrilled about hiking Turkey, but I need 2 precious things for that: Time and Money, currently i'm saving for New Zealand and Australia. That's my dream for now.
But I really think that I'll travel in Turkey some day.
