I fully understand that. I'm actually a co-writer for a comic my friend is making. She's been working on it for years and its gone threw more than a few reworkings we are both pretty passionate about it. I've also got my own comic I'm working on but writers block is a nasty thing. 


I have to agree with you on Nazo he's got just enough to have the ground work but plenty of freedom to expand and branch out on. 

Oh! Thank you so much. But yes back when I first starting drawing Kage Nazo was a ground work for his colors mostly. Especially his red fur and blue eyes. He looked like a bad sonic recorder for a long time but I'm really happy how he's developed over the years

Ah, I see. And yeah, writer's block can be awful, but I find that the best ideas or phrasing can sometimes come naturally, and often when you least expect it. 
Yeah. It can be intriguing to see what people can do. 
I think many Sonic fans have at least one OC that used to be, or still is, a bad recolour, lol. (Myself included) But yeah, it's great when you can take something and turn it into something good, even when it's had a bad start.

I have quite a few ideas for later parts of the comic and main conflicts. It's mainly the whole set up section introducing characters, motives and interactions.  

I think so as well, it's almost like a staple of a new sonic artist although I can't say it happens to everyone. My main problem is that I have a lot of hedgehogs which are somewhat frowned upon. 
Taking something that was rather cringy and in the edgy category and turning it into a more fleshed out character with a deeper personality is something to be proud of in my eyes

Oh yeah, that can be tricky.

I can see why that would be frowned upon. I had a bunch of hedgehogs myself (though admittedly for a different reason altogether). 
Yes, I think that is indeed something to be proud of.

Honesty the main reason I have so many issues because I like the basic designs of them other than that its mostly unintentional.
