[I would recommend The Secret Life of Pets 2, especially if you enjoyed the first movie. In case if you haven't seen the following movies, these may come across as spoilers. I know that in Missing Link, the protagonist and his ex-girlfriend part ways, but he and his sasquatch best friend stay together as besties. In Uglydolls, the main characters all get owners, but they're still able to return to their world to hang out. In Angry Birds 2, the protagonist goes on a date with a girl he previously had a bad interaction with, but he's still able to hang out with his friends. There's also Spies in Disguise, where the two main characters are last seen doing a mission together.]

I think the first Pets movie was okay, but it came off as a bit lame and I wasn't interested in the sequel. The same with Missing Link, don't think it was even released here LOL. I've heard of Uglydolls, and saw some clips before, but I'm not too sure if they're able to return as they all went to different homes, right? But yeah. These few films that you just said don't really have that much separation, maybe I should watch them when I can.
