So far, I've only been using pencils in most of my deviations. I also use inking pens and sometimes watercolour if I feel like it, as you can probably see in some of my works.

I greatly suggest looking through the tutorials in both books and online in that field of traditional art. There are so many tutorials here on dA, I'm sure you'll find your own way of colouring. That's how I've always done it anyway, and I'm still trying to get the best results.

Okie dokie, and no problem! I never really use colouring pencils, because I have a hard time getting hold of the colours I want, so I never really have all the colours to finish a drawing, which means I will usually just leave it in black and white, as they are in my gallery...

But I will have a look through the tutorials and try my best! I also need to work on getting my outlines right, since I don't use a fine-liner very often

Oh, don't feel discouraged! Black and white is also very good! I admire people like you, who can colour in monotone. I have never been able to do that, so I'm always intrigued. Also, if you are away from any source of art supplies, you could always try blending in some colours to get them. It's much harder and is more time-consuming, but it definitely gives more practice.

Ah, but if you can, some art brands I recommend are Prismacolor, Staedler, and Faber-Castell. Those are the brands I trust most anyway, but Faber-Castell is the one company I've always stuck to ever since (like right now, I colour using Faber-Castell Classic Colour Pencils). You can get sets of whatever art supplies from all of them. Some companies and their products are of more worth than others though. Like, Prismacolor and Faber-Castell Polychromos can get really expensive because they are so high in quality. Could be worth it though. (o u o;; )

And yeah, it is. With home schooling, I don't really have a schedule. I can do what I want, when I want. So it makes looking after my baby brother easier. I'm focusing mainly on my art, I'm hoping to become a mangaka at some point. And I finally managed to draw something yesterday, so hopefully, my art block is clearing.

Well as long as you give them the space they need, and respect them over all, they are lovely as pets. The one I'm getting is very mild tempered, and she will gladly just sit on my shoulders for ages

And even on weekends, my Mum and I don't get a break, even though my other brother and my step-dad are at home. They are really lazy :/

And some of my works are in my gallery I'm busy working on one with colour at the moment. My colouring pencils aren't the best quality, but they work.

He's just under two years old. And to be honest, ever since I began home schooling, my friends don't seem interested in hanging out with me anymore I only have a couple of proper friends left, and one of them lives in America! I never really have a reason to get out of the house anyway apart from shopping, and even then, Bubs usually comes with Mum and I. I don't mind it, just like you said, it would be nice to have a break every now and then.

So young, wow. Ah, what a pity. Some are still sticking with you, that's still good. If your friends are leaving you just for you taking home school, they shouldn't be fretted over anymore. You can always meet others and make some new bonds. Like when you go out somewhere or places like tumblr and dA for examples. ^ u ^

How about going for a walk every now and then? Say to a nearby garden or
cafe for maybe 15/30 min. at the least? You two could go out on separate days; one of you could go out and the other would stay home, or all three of you can go and enjoy the outside. Maybe when he is a little older, he could stay in a daycare? Mmm, I wonder if the U.K. has daycare? It's kind of like preschool/kindergarten. I agree that you and your mother should have a talk with your other brother and step-father.

The UK does have daycare. We usually get away from the guys in the house by taking Bubs to the park or something. We sometimes go to Costas as well, so that's a kind of relaxing half an hour ^^. And the local council is thinking about making a page so that the other people in my area that are home schooled can meet up and such

I'm in no position to say this, but breaking away from the comfort zone can be good sometimes. It's definitely worth it when you make friends. There are friendly people out there too, so I'm sure they'd love to be the one to approach first if you don't. Just put on your best smile and be friendly to everyone you meet and everything will be fine. You probably know all that though without me telling. I'm sorry. u u;
