Where do you find inspiration?

algonquinpaddler In reply to xxxxOnlyMexxxx [2010-05-09 13:44:08 +0000 UTC]
Ooooh, I love deep questions!!! Well, for the really flowing works, I have a very loose idea in mind of what I'll do (eg, a tree), then let the pencil wander without really thinking about it. The design slowly builds into something even bigger and better as I realize things that can be added. That's how you end up with stuff like "With Glowing Hearts". As for inspiration, it is literally everywhere. Go anywhere with a sketchbook or camera, and just start working. If you are in a very boring place, draw or photograph every boring thing you can find in the place, and sooner or later you'll see something you can work with, make a bit more interesting, develop with creativity into something fantastic. Inspiration's waiting for you to find it.
Does that help?
