thank you for the comment. I can't do any other look for photos than the serious one. they all turn out bad. it's serious or candid. but mostly serious.

hmmm. other eighties. depeche mode. the cure. tears for fears. berlin. frankie goes to hollywood. twisted sister. simple minds. morris day and the time. corey heart. falco. fine young cannibals. ummm. that's about it off the top of my head. oh. madonna and u2...if you want to label them as eighties. michael jackson's eighties hits. probably forgetting some stuff here and there.
why oregon, if you don't mind me asking?

anaesthesia In reply to augustmobius [2004-03-04 05:30:59 +0000 UTC]
Wow...your eighties colllection makes me drool, although I was expecting to see Erasure or New Order or Oingo Biongo somewhere shoved in there.
Also do you like Souxsie or Peter Murphy? I can see that sometime in the future we might have to exchange burnt cd's. I think it's a requirement of people that like eighties music, they must exchange their fav's and spread the joy. lol.
And as for wanting to live in Oregon. Well it is where my mother was from and I remember these vivid pics of her by the sea when she was little and she always told me how beautiful and lush everything was as in comparison to here (Utah). She always had a little bit of Oregon in her blood and I am sure that she passed this on to me. And I love the rain and when the skys are over cast, and NOTHING is better then the smell in the air after it rains. Plus, I hear there are a few good Psych schools in Oregon. So after I am done with my bachelors it's either Oregon or perhaps Washington for me.
The ocean...it's calling my name.

Ahhh, yes. New Order. Pet Shop Boys too. David Bowie. Billy Idol. I always forget someone. Umm. Kajagoogoo.
Never heard anything by either of them though. Heard of them. Just not their music.
The sea is quite beautiful in Oregon. Both Oregon and Washington are beautiful places.

Kajagoogoo...okay bonus points for that. I have never heard of them before.
And I hear that you are taking a trip to Canada. Well travel safely and I hope things turn out well for you. Sounds like you have a field of oppritunities waiting for you. Congrats.

No thanks needed. Your artwork is intense. Although I do wish a few pieces were a bit bigger. Later.

I've been getting that complaint quite a bit lately...I used to have larger images up but most small-resolution viewers had a hard time seeing them...then I started having problems with people ripping photos...not the biggest thing in the world, but going to a smaller photo size seemed fitting...if they were larger, what sorta resolution would you like to see?

Something like this...[link]
Not extremely huge, yet big enough to really appreciate. Some of your sky pics would be beyond words with a little enlargement. imo.

augustmobius In reply to anaesthesia [2004-03-03 20:51:22 +0000 UTC]
ahhh, ok. I used to use 900 as my typical resize width or height. now I use 700. I bet I could switch to 800 and be ok still. the biggest problem right now is that the place I take my film to only scans my negatives in at 1024x768, so I'm not left with a lot to work with. especially because I have to cut the white space and actual negatives off of the image. ugh. makes my blood pressure shoot up everytime. I can't wait until I get a digital slr camera.

anaesthesia In reply to augustmobius [2004-03-03 20:55:05 +0000 UTC]
Yes, 800 or even 900 on some of the pieces would really do them justice. But seeing that you must have them all scanned in, it makes sense. Also I am sorry to hear that uncreative people are using your stuff w/o your permission. Theft is such an ugly thing. And I do imagine that when you get a digi cam your work will only get more intense.

well, I can understand the need for stock, I wouldn't care if they asked first. it's the people who resuse it and pass it off as theirs that make me angry.

what does 'shadow deviant' mean exactly? i've never figured it out.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
anaesthesia In reply to hubricide [2004-02-10 03:24:51 +0000 UTC]
I have always assumed it's a better wording for a "lurker".
Hence, "lurking in the shadows" and so and so forth.
I would never call my self a "poet" or " artist" since I am not one for structured poetry and most of my art sits in a box in my closet. I mostly just come here to view amazing things and encourage those with remarkable talent.

hubricide In reply to anaesthesia [2004-02-10 04:25:29 +0000 UTC]
ahhh. makes sense. still, i'd say what makes poetry poetry is its lack of structure compared to, uhh, non-poetry. you have my permission to call yourself whatever you want.

anaesthesia In reply to hubricide [2004-02-10 18:16:08 +0000 UTC]
Well thank you, now that I have your permission to call myself whatever, I am at ease.
And how did you come across my page in the first place? (just curious)
