I'm doing pretty well! I'm working on my bachelor's degree in biology, now-- my semester starts in two days. I'm excited for Marine Ecology, but not so excited for Chemistry and Genetics. Oh, and on an art note, I have human characters, now! Well, technically they're the same old characters I've had for the past decade or so... I just decided that since I write them as humans I should draw them as humans, too?

Ewwww humans *flails in a circle* lol I am just teasing man way to blow me out of the water with how amazing and awesome you sound like you're doing. I am doing pretty great I am nothing awesome like working on a degree or anything great like that but tomorrow is my 1 year wedding anniversary and I'm a happy housewife getting to live the good life of sitting on my ass in our very first house that we've had for almost 2 months now 
And i ended up with a pretty sexy hubby, not that asshole I was with years upon years ago lolΒ
Having major awful artblock though that I am trying to force my way out of but I am having a bit of trouble it is like my entire creative side has shut off. I bought a few adoptables hoping to invoke it but they only seem to be nudging it :/Β

Oh niiiice! Having a house is nothing to scoff at! I've lived in, uh... 6 different apartments since I moved out of my mom's house 3 1/2 years ago. Though I did just tell my landlord that I'll be renewing my lease for a second year at my current place, which will be my very first renewed lease!
Artblock is the wooorst. Sometimes I fight art block with art trades, because other people's characters are easier for me to draw, and getting art of my own characters sometimes motivates me to draw them myself... but sometimes that backfires and just results in me having a mile-long to-do list and no motivation to do anything on it. It's a rather hit-or-miss strategy.

First renewed lease is pretty awesome too, means you finally have some stability which is great
The house is pretty nice it is right around the corner from my mom's house and right across the street from someone I've known since I was 5 lol.
*bangs on the art block with the nearest object which is .............. a bottle of canola oil lol................ * maybe this will help it loosen up. I have been wandering around looking at DA rp groups and some have peeked my interest but I'm not sure I"m so hesitant with things. Β So you still hanging around that craptacular place called Neopets? I can't bring myself to enjoy that place anymore since the BC deterioriated all those years ago.

Oh nice! My mom lives like 800 miles away. I wish I lived closer to her... but I study marine biology, and the closest large body of water to her is Lake Michigan, which is hardly marine!
All my characters kind of outgrew Neo once I reached college, so I sort of aborted mission before getting my accounts frozen for "inappropriate content." (Ironically, my accounts got hacked while I had my pets up for adoption as I was quitting, so most of my pets got frozen anyways.) Mostly I just hang out on here and Tumblr, nowadays, but I do have an account on Leopets, since a lot of my old friends from the Neopound forums migrated over there for art exchanges and such after Neopound died.

Wow Neopound died? That is a shocker, that was a pretty big site. I'd say I'm sorry that you were frozen but it was only a matter of time with the way neopets is now they find any excuse to freeze their loyal users who adore their site and are dedicated to it. They screw themselves but that is ok their loss. The only thing I miss is the inspiration that site gave me once upon of time my art had such life back in the day because of them. I weep for the old Neo lol. Maybe I should revive my neopets but turn them human or something or into similar non-neo animals lolΒ
That sucks about not being able to be so close to your family but what you're studying is something to be proud of not your run of the mill thing to go to college for. Proud of ya

Well, the advent of pet trading kind of slowly killed the "make big, elaborate applications to adopt pets" thing. The Neopound forums actually survived wel after adoption applications went by the wayside, but eventually everybody kind of migrated away. A lot of them migrated to Leopets because the whole point of Leo is to be like old Neo (and more aimed at artists and older audiences). Which is how i ended up on Leo... not so much because I missed old Neo, but because I missed the PEOPLE who missed old Neo, haha.
Almost all my characters started out as Neopets, and now almost all of them are human! Go figure.
Thanks! It took me a while to figure out what I wanted get my degree in, but I'm really glad I decided to go back to my love of creepy crawly things and study marine biology. It's pretty fun!

I do remember finding that Leopets site before and was very interested in joining back when I still had my creativity but sadly the joining is restricted in such a ridiculous way so I never remembered to go back to try and join.Β

Yeeeahhh. The application process has gotten a lot less bizarre since then, thankfully. Now they open up applications on the first day of every month and it's just a couple questions and a high probability of getting in if you answer them all completely, instead of "applications might open again eventually maybe and then you can write us an essay and cross your fingers???" like it used to be. Thaaaank goodness.

Ya but waiting until the beginning of the month is ridiculous too. I have to set an alarm to remember to join a website? teh fuck? I would probably join and see how it sparks my creativity otherwise but maybe it's too elitist for me if you ahve to jump through a hoop just to join. *looks at my typos* forgive them please I have been awake about 5-10 mins and I got woken up early by the furkids who have become alarm clocks that warn us like 10-20 mins earlier then we have to get up lol

Though I do think the elitist vibes have gone down a LOT in recent years. To be fair, I'm pretty sure the main reason they have a weird application process now is because they have limited server space and can only fit so many people on the site. Having applications open only one day a month is more to limit the number of people who apply than to limit the type of people who join (if people can only apply once a month, they don't have to turn as many people down because there isn't a constant stream of applications). Nowadays the community there is more like the Neopund Forums than the "exclusive club" vibe it used to have. Which is... exactly why I'm there. Because I miss the Neopound Forums. x3

I am trying to get into Naruto roleplay too... I have a few characters but have not found anyone to rp with just yet, haven't really tried though so I'm sure once I put the effort I'll hopefully find someone lol
