About "four of the five senses," it was a combination of up-close and zoom. I tend to rely on the zoom to get the effect I want with most of my cat pictures, lol. I haven't met a cat who actually liked having my camera shoved in its face.

XD I am not confident at all about photographing people. I'm also scared to death they'll look up and notice, because then the shot is ruined and it doesn't feel natural anymore.
Squirrels take sooo much patience. A good zoom and quick shutter speed help immensely. XD
