besides..roop dada's style of machine drawing allows immense freedom..you can draw whatever shit you think of, correct errors so damn easily...me likes!!!

Anyway. You should read Sandman from Preludes to Endless Nights. All of it. It is without question the best bloody story I've ever read. Other than that, I vividly recommend American Gods, Anansi Boys, Good Omens, Coraline (call me what you wish, but that book gave me nightmares) and the short-story "I, Cthulhu", if you are familiarized with Lovecraftian lore. I still have a few Gaiman books on my "to read" list, but I can't really recommend those to you, now can I?
As for Watterson, I still remember walking around with a C&H book under my arm before I could read. When I got to 1st grade, I began practicing my reading with those same books. They all rule, but I'm sure you're aware of that.

Your last sentence applies to me as well, and I believe that the gazillion very, very bad moments can be summarized by "life". It's all a part of it, but I thank Watterson and few others for giving me a shoulder to cry on. Everybody needs one.
