I love what you do with pattern, shape and linework...I think it can capture an emotion more freely...sacrificing the sometimes ineffective physical forms to move somebody to feel...wonderful! I might be insulting your art knowledge here but have you looked into Alex Grey artwork? [link]

I love Grey's work

hi, i was looking your gallery, you have great works on it.. i dont know why some of the pinting remind me kind of "pink floyd concepts" je je, my perception....

you are very skilled, and most of all it seems like you work all the concepts befor the paint (again, my perception)...

Keep on the good work

thanks SOO much for that awesome comment!
i'm really glad you liked it. it's pretty different to what i usually do, i guess. i'm pretty happy with it.

there isn't really a meaning behind the hand colour coinciding with other things... i just didn't colour them in, it was just the colour of the paper i used. i used a brownish/reddish piece of paper, the final has been adjusted a little

thanks again.

First I would like to tell that you have some realy impressive work in your gallery.
Now upon your request, -this took me realy a lot of dictionary using so appreciate it -
Linocut making:
What u need:
-linocut set
-paper (thin paper is good)
-piece of linoleum
-printmaking paint
Simply:1 pre draw with pencil then marker fhe form of your drawing on the linoleum (or not) 2 cut out where you want it white 3 put on the paint on with a barrel 4 push the paper on the form 5 take off the paper softly.
In detail: if you buy a linocut set a how to do manual is whitin the box that's the best way to go.

Hope I was helpful.

greatly appreciated!! then I take it that it took you a while to create some of your pieces.... is this something that you do at home? if so, then I'll be in my studio trying it out. thanks again!

oechi In reply to dessiner44 [2003-09-08 19:48:56 +0000 UTC]

Yes you can do it at home, I think copper-engraving can also be done at home, that is also good for reproducing the same image many times, have never done it myself tough.
With linocut you have to watch out not to cut yourself, first I did only a simple image on a little piece of linoleum, wich turned out to be good cause I had to practice the printing part a lot to get it right.
