it's annoying, and if anything is a slap in the face to me, not appreciation of my work. sometimes when i upload, within 5 mins i have 2 or 3 faves, yet NO views?? wtf?! how is that possble, and why would you even fave something you didnt click to actually LOOK at ?? it really is sad, i used to hate the cliche of elders bitching about "kids these days", but damn- i never thought id see the day when 14 yr olds have blackberries, and thongs,gucci purses with a condom stashed and diamonds from daddy. 'guess im just getting old...

OMG, I could not agree with you more. I am always trying to figure out how in the "F" I get faves w/o a views. It's almost like the submission is on the "new" uploads page and people just drag and drop into their favourites folders. I never favourite without actually going to the deviation. It's maddening that dA allows faves without views. I personally thing it takes away from the whole experience.

And all the blackberries, thongs, asses hanging out of jeans, sagging, diamonds, new cars, etc... get on my last nerve. I use to make fun of my Dad when he would say,m "Some peoples children" and "Kids these days"; For some time now I have been saying those words as well (and shaking my head as I say them). People are so engulfed with "stuff" and "popularity" they don't stop and think about anyone but their greed. Oh GAWD, I am going off on the deep end. LOL - I better stop myself.

You and I sounds like we are from the same mold.
