Just the same I did a bit of sculpting back in the art school too- I still remember the face of my teacher when I presented a clown with a fish inside.

Haha yeah, Dali is one of my most favorite artists of all time, and not anyone can create stuff like his. I tried too. Didn't like it . Also I'm going to sculpture classes next week

haha,erm, the BUST ones. Yeah, the sculptures that are from chest to head, yes, it can have boobs. Those type of sculpture For now I'll try first do only heads.

Boobs are easier. Anyway, good luck with faces! I bet it's extremely hard! I've never done it myself, but I suppose I would have had to feel the face of the sitter first (you know, to touch with hands, to feel the shape. And I bet no sitter would love that )

haha I think using photos for reference is more easier to me, I wouldn't like to be wasting the time of someone whos just looking at the wall or something,just taking two photos of his/her head is fine

Yup, sometimes it's even better to be the only pupil!
In my city there are no classes of sculpture (as far as I know), except for the children art school.I wonder if it's not even popular in Russia as a kind of art.;(

Thats pretty bad . We'll in my city it's hard for me find art classes, and also my city have an area that it was supposed to be a place mainly for art. the area have also its art museum and buildings for creative purposes . The place its almost abandoned and its now normally used to build bars and things like that. I can't believe theres so much people who lost interest on art.

We have a bit different system in Russia. I'm at the University now. (we can enter unis right after the school) And yeap. I'm older. I'm 21, unfortunately (It's like middle age is near.NOOOO!)

Yes, I know about every countries having different systems. Well, I'm at Highschool,
on United States but I'm actually mexican. I'm going to be 16 next month.
Oh, and I'm pretty excited , I'm going to photography classes next saturday (we'll saturday in my country, I'm not really sure what day it is on Russia)

hehe Saturday or already Sunday (depends on time difference:if you have classes in the evening- totally Sunday)
Photo-classes! That's great! I always mess up with my camera and then regret not having pictures of something important just because I chose the wrong light,pushed the wrong button or smth else.

you are right, about the light, I would recomend you to try to take the same photo multiple times and practice with different filters, once you are done you just need to see whats, the better photo you took in comparison to the others
