thanks alot for your comment on my other account ( [link] ) i appreciate the points you brought up, but im not sure if you have ever done 3d work before, but having totally circular sights take up a whole heap of polygons, and setting a limit of about 1000 doesn't give much room for manouvering,
added to that Max Payne is not exactly the best engine for high polygon weapons especially when you get 20 or so enemies filling up the screen. Since its 3rd person any way it doesn't really matter much.
If it was a 1st person shooter i had been modelling for more focus is paid to the top half of the model which is more likely to be in the persons view.

And im fairly aware of the common name of the Barrett, and its specs having had previous military experience, but i have allways called it an M82A1...that still doesn't explain why i have stuck it in a game designed around CQB.
