Ah I see. Well, that's a relief; I'm a bit of a student of history, and seeing that particular term used in reference to the American Civil War always raises a lot of unpleasant connotations in me.

I've got an American ship, but for the most part the U.S. fleet is exactly the same save for a couple additions. I have several ideas for Royal Navy ships, but these will be for a separate timeline I'm thinking about writing dealing with the European War (the Beer Hall Putsch succeeds and Hitler's in power by 1923).

If it's any help, I know some people who have design schematics for the RN's "Super Battleships" that were being drawn up before the Washington Naval Conference forced them to be cancelled. Personally I'm glad of it, (and that's me as a Royal Navy fanboy speaking) as some of the designs were jaw-droppingly hideous.
