Well,I was wondering whether you could tell me something about my situation :
I'm planning to move to Scotland I'm from Italy and I'm 15 and I wanted to move to Scotland next year, after the end of my 10th year at school (which in Italy is the 2nd year in high school) I can't figure out which year I'd be in If I were to start studying there.. would I have to sit for Standard Grades or would my school grades (whether high enough) allow me to get directly the Highers ?
I know that's not an easy question but I've asked so many people and I still haven't gotten a concrete answers..
I've even tried to contact a couple of college and ask information but I only got those nice, standard, ready-made answers.. >.>

sorry for the late reply! i was trying to get as accurate an answer as possible!
there may be different school systems around scotland but you should be in the 4th year of high school/secondary school. normally that would mean doing standard grades, but if your grades from italy were the equivalent of them then you could possibly go to highers, or maybe sit these things called int 2s which are like in between standard grades and highers (although not all schools offer them.)
i have a friend in a situation similar to yours and he just had to sit out of exams for a year until he was in the same place as the rest of us. where in scotland roughly are you planning to be? i could see if i knew anyone from the area you were going
