Hello, I discovered you on Pinterest and found your DeviantArt. Your art style is amazing and super adorable, I love it! As a fellow artist I thought maybe I could lend you some pointers on how to improve your work? First, Colors. Your very vibrant with your colors and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but every character that I've seen of yours has a gradient in their hair. I can understand if you use it once or twice, but every character is a bit eccentric. Try using basic colors. That way your characters could become more realistic and fleshed out. Second, Personalities. All their personalities are the same or have a similar attribute, cold or emotionless. There's nothing wrong with having an emotionless character, but if every character or most of your character's are emotionless then it makes your characters very bland and uninteresting. I suggest varying in personalities. Third, Eye Color. Why does every character have a unique eye shape? It makes your characters look like special snowflakes. As I said earlier choose a basic color and basic eye shape to better flesh out your characters. Please don't take this to any offense, I loved all your characters. I really do, but I also want to help you improve. I'm sorry if I wasted your time or made you upset, I truly hope you take my advice into mind when looking at your characters. I wish you all the best.

I'm in absolute shock at the audacity you have to say such things as a beginner artist to a professional. This is not "pointers" this is actually pretty rude, ESPECIALLYΒ your line of "It makes your characters look like special snowflakes." How would you feel if I just went onto your page and straight up said "the way you draw makes your characters look like they have special needs"?? Its extremely offensive, straight up horrible
Besides, Having different eye shapes molds a character's personality.Β People in real life all have different eye shapes, we don't all look special.
And plEASE understand that different people have different tastes, you'll come to find that a lot of people on this website don't use basic colours, its a fake character, they don't have to be realistic.
AND FINally, like, Miru's not the one that needs to improve, she's been drawing for years and knows what she's doing, which is pretty obvious by her following and fucking awesomeness

I should've used my brain before speaking out and making a fool of myself. I apologize that I've offended you and I admire your bravery for standing up to someone who you support.

True, I'm not a professional. I am a beginner artist and I don't have the physical attributes to make beautiful art such as Missimu (I can't spell it right sorry) has. I just wanted to point out that they might want to look back on some designs. Despite the fact that They are indeed an amazing artist, and I never said that I disliked their work. I just thought I MIGHT help. Every artist needs improvement. Yes, they know what their doing, but that doesn't mean they're immune to mistakes. I don't mind opinions BUT I, for once did not ask for ''improvements'' and you just post a whole text on my page about improving.
Simple colors? Basic eye shape? What's it got to do with others what I do with my ORIGINAL characters? I'm not forcing my watchers to like my characters. Why would I want my characters to become more realistic and fleshed out? Creating characters doesn't mean that you have to follow all the rules you have in real life. They're fictional, not real. If I had any interest of making my characters look like a genetic anime/manga character with basic color hair and eyes, I would have done it long time ago. But I'm not creating my characters just for people to forget them right away because they look like someone else's.Β
And then you also mention the personalities of my OCs. Have you ever READ the STORY? Do you actually KNOW my characters? There's a story behind my OCs. If you don't even bother trying to figure out my character's background story and the story now, then don't even mention about my characters' personalities. You think it makes my characters very bland and uninteresting? Well claps for that. My every character has a story. There's a reason why my characters from my ORIGINAL story re:UTOPIA are like that.
I believe I don't create my original characters for anyone else. I draw them because I like them. I don't even draw just to please everyone's eyes in the first place. I draw for MYSELF.Β
Apologies that I might seem rude in my reply but you can't just go on someone else's page and write a long text about ''improving'' if the artist already loves what they're doing + if they aren't even asking for opinions. In other words, you have no right to tell what's right and wrong when it comes to creating characters. Where would the creativeness be then?

No, it's fine and I'm sorry for coming into your page and insult you. I looked back on my message and reloaded it was out of place for me to criticize someone's work when their happy with it. Besides I can't even imagine a character HALF as good as yours. I truly am sorry for comments, I guess I was too used to simple colors that seeing your art threw me off and made me think it was wrong. There is nothing wrong with your art, I meant what I said when I told you I loved it. I'll try to be more open minded when it comes to looking at different art. Once again, I truly am sorry for the way I acted. I thought I might have been helping, but I was wrong. Milemiru (finally got the spelling right) I hope we can move past this fiasco and in the future I can take advice from you as an artist. Hopefully this reaches you soon.
(P.S. Is the story for your characters in their bio or is there an official story out?)
