ohhh i have a question!! so do you perfer a normal pencil or a mechanical one? honestly i havent tried mechanical ones but ppl say there good to use... i have a thing with them where i draw REALLY DARK LINES lol ^.-
and its amazing how you work with pens! i cant get that kind of texture (i thin is the right word) from them

um well it really is just personal preference i think, but, personally, i like mechanical pencils because 1, they're a lot more convenient(i.e. no sharpening required) 2, they aren't perpetually decreasing in size , and 3, they're way more consistent. and by that i mean the line width and texture is generally constant. lol i have a tendency to draw really dark lines when i draw anything too, which is fine if it that's what you wanted and it turned out good. the downside to it is that it's really hard to fix mistakes. what you might want to do with both mechanical pencils or wood pencils is experiment with different lead densities. and also about the pen thing, thanks , that also just takes practice and finding the right pens. personally, for both pens and pencils, i prefer fine lines and generally use 0.5mm lead.
