Wow, long time, no see/hear! Nice to hear from you.

I'd just ignore that link -- it was the web space for the landlord's Internet connection where I used to live going back 4 years. I can't even remember what image was hosted, but, I'd imagine with the file having the name "stack" in it, it would be an astrophotograph.

I'm still in Canberra, but, come up to Sydney every now and then. Would love to catch up some time.

As for the exposure, the telescope is on top of a tracking mount. The mount has motors which correct for the rotation of the Earth. So, as long as you spend time polar aligning the scope (making sure it points exactly north in the northern hemisphere, or south in the southern hemisphere), then, it should track quite well and keep the stars round. There's lots more involved than that, but that's essentially how it works -- a mount moves in sidereal speed (the rate of rotation of the Earth) to make sure the stars stay round.

Thanks for the advice. But my telescope is pointed north, and sidereal tracking. Your exposures as they are usually, because to me a one minutes are not more point. but stripes.
