nyo, joao - this is a totally different case from ~silveryls 's. even i can tell that she isn't a thief. i don't think people are suspecting this ranilla person because her works are "incredible". i'm not sure if you've ever visited callista-chan's page when she was active, but... she did have her own fake site, and claimed that she was a cos-playing model. it seems to me and others that this "callista" has an issue with asian cosplayers. -_-;;

i usually guess right about art thieves, so... think what you want. i've already sent you a note, too. so you needn't reply to this comment. :3

I don't suspect she's Callista because her work is incredible, far from that. I suspect mainly because of the photos, the fact that she creates clubs for friends, the way she displays the links on her journal... it all looks alike, see? =\
And Callista had screenshots of her PC too, you know =\ Including one of a pic she made to me. And yes, when she took the screenshot, the work wasn't completed yet.
But I do admit, it's a lot of screenshots there, quite an unusual amount for a thief. And that's one of the things that keep the thought that she's Callista away from me. But still, I'll wait until it's defenetly proven otherwise. =\

Wai I thought many people put up webcam pics so I just thought I'd put up mine since I'm all for the exposure that could very well bring a job for me.

All art thieves usually run away when they have guilty conscience. I'm proud to say I have a clear conscience!

I accept your apology and I'm glad you believed me! Nothing worst could have hurt an artist/model to post up her own works and then be accused of stealing them herself XD So I'm glad you say you believe me. I just hope the other people will believe me too.

And I added you to my watch list too because you have such cute anime art! I love anime art! I wished I could draw them, but I can't, so I shall stick to vectors. lol

From what I understand, you are saying that this Callista person creates her friend's account and uploads my photo and says that I (person in the photo) am her friend.
And now, I, whom you suspect is Callista, have decided to set up an account and pass of as 'Callista's friend'.

In my opinion, if I really am your Callista and I set up a new account, I'd be out of my mind to post up 'my friend's' photo, since I already know her photo is on Deviant art, and lots of people would be questioning me about it, just like what you're doing now! So you see, how could I be your Callista? 0_0

I hope you are understanding about this issue. If you don't believe me because of what some photo thief did, there's nothing I can do. I have already achieved my aim of talking to Jojoju and getting him agree to have me build a website for him anyway, so I don't really care about staying in DA.

But I still wanna thank you for notifying me about the photo thief, though you did it in a not so friendly way

Look, I see your point, but again, that Callista person IS out of her mind. After she got caught, she created even more accounts! She's not normal, and if you could see her journals, she was always censoring art thieves, and got support from everyone. Until someone found out where she got her works from and reported her.

I'm really sorry for suspecting, but really, Callista was once an online friend of mine, and she hit me in the one thing I value the most, and that is trust. I don't want that to happen again.

All of you are asking me to understand your suspicions. I'm not saying I think its wrong of you to suspect me. I just feel you guys should try to check things out before throwing accusations at me. It really was shocking for me, especially since I didn't know what was going on at all. They left mean messages in my bbs, and I had to close it down! And I believe I'm a true victim here, because firstly, people breach my copyrights and pass of as me, then they do horrible things and escape, making me the guilty party.

I'm very sorry that someone has hurt you. I do know how sad it is when a close friend you thought you could trust betrayed you. But I hope things turn out the best for all of us too.

I gather that Callista steals anime art, according to what you guys say. Actually, I joined deviant art because I wanted to contact ~jojoju and make a website for ~jojoju because he does not have a website, and keeps getting targetted by art thieves for his beautiful art, and as a fan of his art, I wanted to help him. I think your Callista would have stolen his art altogether

I don't expect you to believe me at once but if you know anyone else who thinks I am Callista, refer them to me and I'd try to clear it all up with them personally ok? I don't want to have people spreading untruths about me behind by back!

Thiefs wouldn't bother replying, and if they did, they probably would say "no.", to test if you were dumb (that is, if it was really a thief). If they disappeared, well then, great. But no thief does that unless there is more than 1 person accusing them.
Plus, the "Callista-kin-of-thief", would take advantage of her friends' support and convince everyone that she wasn't stealing anything. Unless that one had strong proofs. That's, afterall, how it all started.
So, since now we don't have proofs, we don't ask you directly. We keep silent and wait to see where fate takes us. Because, even if you said "No.", we'll still suspect.

What do you mean the pic is gone? All I know is since she was banned, she took everything off DA and she even shut her websites down.

If you want to know, here are other things that make me think you're callista:

a) The way you write your journals and display Clubs you're in and friends you've made on DA;

b) The way you display links to other pages;

c) The style of your pages;

Another thing, which isn't as strong as the above, is the fact that you bumped into my gallery. You see, I'm not exactly a popular artist. The deviation you commented was on DA 2 days before you found it. It is very, very, but very rare for someone to find one of my works and comment on it 2 days after it was uploaded.
So, since you already had that pic on your website, found my gallery and you seemed to enjoy anime art rather then minimalism, I put two and two together, and thus my speculation. It might sound crazy at first, but believe me, it does make some sense.

That's another thing I wanted to clean out. See, I'm not trying to accuse you of anything. I'd only accuse you if I had any solid proof, which I don't. I replyed to a comment that wasn't yours for starters to discuss the possibility. I feel the exact same way the other deviant did because I too found the picture relation and journal relations very, very convincing. But I am willing to wait, and I'm rooting for the fact that you're not an art thief, believe me, I am!

But making sites for friends, openning fan lists for them, is something Callista did too. Unless this girl copyed every little thing about you, you gotta admit, it's quite a coincience you do that too.

Here's a suggestion, it's your choice to take it or not. To end once and for all this matter, here's what you do: you take a photo of yourself, next to your computer, in your Deviantart Userpage. That's all it takes.
I bet that if you do that and other people see it, everyone will shut up, including me. And try and upload it to your DA gallery, so everyone can see it. After everyone is convinced, take it off if you want to.

If you do that, I garantee you I'll take back every speculation I've made, I'll welcome you anytime, and I'll be ready to do what it takes to have your forgiveness if you felt offended.

Hmm I think if I continue to reply some more, this thing will never end. XD Cos' you'll always find something to rebuke me anway. XD I don't know your Callista well. Its most unfortunate that I seem to behave like her... I don't know, maybe you'll see some difference when time passes.

When I develop that roll of film in my camera, I might get a new roll and take a couple of pics, I suppose. You see, I haven't got a webcam, that was just a normal scanned picture that I used for the webcam image.

You can choose what you believe, its up to you. I can't try to change your mind and I don't find it necessary to anyway since I have a clear conscience. You can think what you like, but don't post long long replies on my main page ok? It's scary XD

What are you talking about? I have never stolen any anime art or any photos or whatever.

I think ought to thank you first cos' I saw the link and I contacted that person via email immediately as that photo indeed belonged to me, and I told her to take it down because it seems that she was trying to pass of as me and even insult my friend in the photo.

I'm not 'someone else' that you think I am. I only joined deviant art because I wanted to talk to ~jojoju and make a website for him. I have never been on deviant art before. Unless you have proof don't malign me like that. I'd end up getting accused by other people of things I have not done just because you typed a comment like this.

I have the exact same feeling. Right up from the moment I entered her site (since her comment style was awfully familiar), I got to the same conclusion. And so did at least 4 other people. So yeah, this is probably her. And I'm still not sure if the art is truly hers! XD I sure hope it is though. At least she would have improved on that, as a person.

If you think my site has some content which is similar to someone elses, well, that was unintentional. I never have the intention to copy someone else's site descriptions and content, but if it was the same, then all I can say is that it was unintentional. Some people just happen to have similar styles of writing. Who knows, maybe it was that person who copied my site first? =3

Im noy saying the ART is not yours, im saying the identitiy is not yours.Im not the only one saying this.I found out from another that Callista had variouse accounts.Jumie was one of them probubly 100% And you have the same Photos and such as this person.If you are not i am turely sorry.I never said the art was not yours though.I dont feel one bit guilty though.DA is gettign rediculous with theft.Its getting so rediculouse.I dont know how you can show profe at all.DA is not a nfriendly comunity, its just that you look very suspiciouse.Though mabey that that Callista had stolen from you.I just dont know.

Excuse me, hostile note? I asked you properly not to approach my gallery until i figured out if you are indeed callista or not. I even said "Please". If you think that is hostile, then why don't you send me a not telling what exactly you didn't like in my note.

As for your gallery, as I said, I'm not 100% sure if it is you or not, but you have to understand that this artist: created several accounts that feature stolen art, and she used the exact same persons you display in your photos and on your model site. And since this artist kept stealing art, I think it's natural for me to suspect about yours, since there is the possibility you and callista are the same. Plus, the account where she had the photos that were exactly like the ones you have on your model website, as just been visited by callista herself, and guess what, she changed her avatar so no one could see her old pic. Try to understand our position, it is quite a coincidence.
And I asked you to keep away from my userpage because I don't want to establish contact with someone who might be a person that has betrayed me and many other deviants. If I get to the conclusion that you're not her and, therefore, you art isn't stolen, I'll be happy for you, and I will welcome you to visit my userpage, just as much as I'm willing to visit yours and commenting in your works which, by the way, think they're great.

If you're not Callista, I'm sorry, but I really can't say that I feel guilty. If I said so, I'd be lying.
Can you understand my position? It isn't exactly easy. And don't get me wrong, I don't think your position is easy either. If you're not her, it must feel awkward to recieve these comments, and hard to be a suspect.
