Ouch! I had shingles once. There is no point in trying to expalin to anyone that never had it just how painful it is. Nothing, and I mean nothing will stop the pain once it kicks in. I was taking really serious pain killers and it did nothing.
Interesting side story though. I got it travelling in Japan years ago. Iwoke up with the rash around my chest and a few hive like lumps. In my drousy state I thought I had been bitten by a snake - I don't know why I thought I wouldn't wake up if I were bitten by a snake but I was still half asleep, or at least that's my excuse. Then I remembered I had been dremaing about being chased and bitten by snakes all night. My girlfriend saw it (she's Chinese) and said she knew what it was and that it was pretty seirous and that I should go to a doctor because in China they believed if it completed the ring around your body you would die. 'Thanks' I said but dismissed her diagnosis, not actually being a doctor and all. She siad she definitely recognised it as her grandmother had it really badly. I just laughed but finally she said 'in China we call this the snake disease'! Well that stopped me in my tracks. Turned out she was right as well, in China Shingles is called snake disease. Still don't know why though.

The story was very deep and so funny that you dreamed it was about the snake bite and she said it had to do with tthat. I have a question about current chinese law. What is the deal with censoring the internet? Is deviantart censored in china like how does that chinese law work?

DA is not censored at all. They really only sensor two things, politics and pornography. Basically they require all ISPs to agree not to allow access to certain IP addresses that are known porn sites or news agencies that criticize China heavliy. It doesn't really affect much of the content on the internet but there was a big fuss recently when Microsoft agreed with the Chinese government to disallow searches for words like 'freedom' on the Chinese verison of MSN.

interesting... Porn is bad I agree on that but the politics part, meh I think people should be free enough that if they do disagree with their government then their voice can be heard and be able to change certain things. It should be the people not the bureaucracy and politics. Very interesting that Microsoft wants to get involved with china. I see this a strictly a $$$ thing. So freedom is blocked?
