That's interesting. I was thinking of getting a better camera, and it seems the one you have takes great photos. Right now I have a Canon Rebel T3 (or something along the lines of that).

I will tell you which one I was specifically referring to regarding your watercolors.
And the Canon Rebel T3 is a great camera, and it really depends on what you wish to shoot. I realized that a better camera won't make me take better pictures (atleast in what interests me, i.e. street), so I got a good simple one and am working on my technique more.

I see, that makes sense. So it has more to do with the lighting? That reminds me of something I was told recently, about a movie that was shot entirely on an iPhone and had great quality. It must be the same sort of idea.

Not so much lighting actually (where better equipment can often help) - but composition and concepts etc. It is more fun to work on those with a fairly decent camera.
