Well, actually you still have a long way to go in iv When I fought against Golbez (when you get Rydia back) I lost several times and stopped playing the game for one year I think. It was so frustrating. The game is a bit too hard for my linking but apparently you don't have any problems with it
FFVI, absolutely. Personally, I like it much more than iv. And the best gameplay in the old games is the one in FFV. These two are my favorites, FF 1-3 are fun too but they don't have much plot. FFIII for DS is very hard by the way, I think I'll never beat the final boss (I already have the game for six years O.o).

thanks for the recommendations, i'll definitely check those out after iv i've heard a lot about vi though, supposedly its like..the best ff o3o but i'll definitely give it a shot. and dont give up on III D: just grind up a few levels and see if there are any ways to make the game easier that you're missing (i went through like half of iv without using augments -.-)

In my opinion, VI is the best but I haven't played VII and up so I can't tell which is the best FF.
But III is just so difficult and when I beat all of the bosses you have to fight before the final boss (there are a lot of strong bosses I have to say) I was very happy. Problem: you can't save before fighting the final boss. So I lost and have to do it all over again -.-

thats awful D: i heard III has like..not a lot of saves xD partially why i chose IV, i'd go crazy without frequent saving @_@ but try X and XII, although XII barely feels like a ff game but its outstanding in its own right, in my opinion P: although it won't make you cry like iv might have (i came close -_-')

I'd play the other games but I don't have the games consoles for them.
I didn't cry when I played IV (don't know why, maybe I just can't feel enough sympathy for the characters, especially not old men ) but V and VI made me cry. I cry a lot while playing games or wathing movies by the way

Well, since I knew that they come back it was no surprise for me
But, idk, there's something missing in FF4 for me. Normally, if I like a game I like all of its characters. But in FFIV I only really like Edge, Rydia, Cecil, Rosa, Edward and some of the characters appearing in the sequel, I don't care about the rest. It would be different if I didn't like Tellah only, because I generally don't like old men in games.
I like every single character in II, V and VI (even the old men!) and I love these games but FFIV... Don't get me wrong, I love playing this game, it's a very good one but I have reasons why I prefer other games

You should, absolutely. I also have the gba version. (Now that I mention it, I think I didn't beat the final dungeon yet O.o). But it's difficult to get the game, it has become very expensive. A used FFVI game for gba costs much more than the original price. It's incredible D:

gba stuff is like, collectible now xD im so mad, i sold my gba sp for like 8 dollars a few years ago and now i cant play my pokemon crystal version -.- off topic i know, but still annoying xD ANYWAY, i could just get a rom of VI

I would never sell my GBA, it's my precious *.* (haha, Lord of the rings reference). Really, I love my red gba sp, sometimes I use it more often than my other handhelds. Just get a rom of VI, important is that you play the game

dang xD my soulsilver holds my record, last time i remember playing it it was 430+, worth every second xD i had sapphire on the gba, but i ALMOST had emerald instead :c i didnt know the difference

DS is the one im playing, but the psp one looks sick P: its actually the first "old" final fantasy im playing, and its kinda funny seeing square enix go from this to the new ffxv trailer

I only played 1-6 myself but I know the other games too. I prefer the old games, which doesn't mean I don't like the other games. The oldschool games aren't bad at all, square put so much love into them
By the way, if you've almost beaten the game, where are you right now? Already in the final dungeon?

i just got rydia back in my party as an adult a couple days ago (hence the drawing P, so i have a little ways to go but its sooo gooood aaaahhhh xD old ff is great though, although i admit to becoming periodically addicted to ffxii...any game you'd recommend trying after iv? o:
