well thank you immensely for the dozen or so favs you gave me...that was quite a marathon run through my gallery you went through

as a reponse to some of your comments:

1. yes, B&W is far from dead (especially if I have any say in the matter)

2. no, actually have not seen any of the hubble photos (although I probably will now that you mentioned it)

3. Billie Holiday is great.

4. yes, in retrospect puting the text /frame around that one piece was a mistake. i concede that with no attempt to deny it...

Thanks for reading the latest issue of {fire}!
I should say this issue was made in a rush. We have one day (actually a few hours) to take the photos and a few days to write the content. I decided to make it a relatively small issue because I want to release it as soon as possible. I want to spread the message sooner.
The very main objective of this issue is to spread our voice, the message, the story. And I think we have achieved this. The next step may be doing a more in depth issue as you mentioned - the reaction/response of the people.
But we still don't have a detail plan yet since we are still promoting this issue. I'm really glad to hear that you are going to help. True, I'm really happy about this. But we don't have a plan yet.
At this moment, I'd concentrate on promoting this issue. If you like to help, you can tell your friends about this issue.
I always enjoy receiving comments and suggestions from you. And I appreciate your support.

Well, the "0450am" is kinda a very experimental shot. It's not very good to me because the camera and the tripod are too small in the picture. Anyway, I was expermenting with some "setup" shots recently.

i'm really glad that you like times of trouble , because i personally like it a lot, but it's one of my most unpopular shots. and you're guess is nearly right - it's really some windows, but the acceleration will be less than 9.81, because it's not free fall, but inside a moving lift.

you've got some cool stuff here, but it seems that you are underappreciated... i'm gonna watch you and drop a comment from time to time. so, keep up the good work.

t'es allé cherché des vielles déviations toi...

mon "lil bit manga", c'est un des premiers résultats de mes chipotages avec les filtres, oui (Painter, et non Photoshop, d'ailleurs).. forcément y'a un côté un peu ... naïf

3 ans plus tard, Dopa Portrait... j'étais toujours un peu sur les filtres... d'ailleurs, même si l'image a l'air vectorielle, comme ça, c'est encore un résultat de filtre... mais nettement détourné de son usage... un truc pour créer une sorte de mosaïque à partir d'un image quelconque... avec un peu de chipo, y'avait moyen de créer des espèces d'effets de perspective, en choisisant soit même les points de références pour le traçage ... enfin c'est un peu difficile à expliquer...
toujours est-il qu'à la base, c'était une photo d'Emiliana Torrini [link]
