oh, I know you watch Church Militant like I do (thanks by the way, you're the one who brought me back to it when I misunderstood their mission as being a protestant website on first impression)
Did you hear about the big scandal that went on in Saginaw with Father Robert Deland? Guess what, that used to be my priest back in 00-01 when I was in middle school. We addressed him as Father Bob.
As a teenager, there was something I didn't like about him, but I dismissed it because what does a teenager know? I remember telling my Grandparents I didn't like him and they dismissed me because he was the one that paid for my high school tuition. The school was probably as heterodox as he was, promoting gay marriage, the morality teacher promoting homosexuality, the religion teacher was very strict but at least pushes for orthodoxy, though she has a slight feminist streak to her and wasn't objecting the idea of female priests. Got into a debate with her about communion for the divorced and civilly remarried as she didn't object to it and says that the Eucharist was a gift to us all.
I threw the Catechists and the Bible right at her and she didn't object.
I told my Priest about this during a confession and his eyes snapped and said "SHE SAID THIS IN A CLASSROOM!?" and I shook my head said "during a Facebook discussion we had." and he was relieved.
Also thanks to you, I got my Grandma to watch Church Militant with me. I can see the distress in her eyes when she watches it, especially how it broke her heart about Bishop Cistone. We have a local in the 80's who thought of him as a Saint. His (Cistone's) crimes in Philadelphia make him far from it.

If you've heard about Relevant Radio gutting out good shows (including The Terry & Jesse Show mentioned above), that used to be our Immaculate Heart Radio station. We've been boycotting / no longer listening to "Relevant" (to what??) Radio

What part impressed your father?
So you met Michael Voris when he came to California huh? That sounds like a great crossover that was ready to happen. Are they on Sirius XM or an online radio podcast?
I don't remember who it was, but I graduated in 2006, I don't think I shook hands with Bishop Cistone, but back in high school, I did shake hands with one of the Bishops.
Unfortunately, I haven't listened to any radio podcasts. I went back to premium member on Church Militant so I could listen to what was going on with Saginaw and they covered a whole can of worms that was beyond our knowledge about Cistone and even Utener.
What I can say about Father Bob (Deland) was that he did carry a good sermon, but as I posted on my facebook, something felt fake about him. He wasn't the same person as the person giving a sermon.
Now I never seen him do anything funny, I do remember however him wearing a rainbow colored stole (the long scarf around the priest) at one point while I was in middle school and I was looking it over and asked him about it. And he played it off saying that it doesn't mean anything.
As of right now, Bishop Cistone is battling lung cancer and is having troubles being able to speak. If it's true, I hope they go after him. I'm sure the police read Church Militant to about him to

They're going after Bishop Cistone now. In my personal opinion, I hope they catch him. Homosexuals like these have no business being in the clergy. I imagine they abandoned God and his teachings a long time ago. And sadly, we the faithful have to pay for their heresy. Not just with money, but our reputations as well.

Aspiring clergy members are supposed to be screened for any lingering impurities that might hinder their performance, 'cept the higher ups have gotten lazy or encouraging of people like this

When it comes to Detroit, I wouldn't even say have gotten lazy, the clergy have gotten corrupt and need to be purged. The sad part is that there are good ones and they're going to be front men. I think I mention this in a previous post, I talked with my Priest and he mentioned that he just keeps to the affairs of his own Church which goes along with a saying I've heard. "The faithful Priests focus on their Church while the wicked ones plot and scheme together in groups."

In regards to Father Bob? That's not uncommon among schools. The part I should have stomped my foot and say no was when this 24 year old young woman teacher pretty much made it mandatory for me to defend homosexuality in a debate. I fell into intimidation and I should have told another teacher about it or told my Grandparents (at this point my mother is mentally broken due to the abusive relationship she's been through)
With that school...what can I say... did I bring it up in a previous post where a friend of mine who's old enough to be my father, so in his mid 50's. We were talking about the corruption with both Catholic Schools from both Flint and Saginaw. As he put it "You passed the class just by your name alone."
Funny thing is...I actually met a teacher who was a former teacher at that Flint Catholic School and I addressed that to her. She didn't even object to it. She simply said "Oh, because they gave money to the school?" and pretty much nodded. The Saginaw Catholic School is the same way, my other gripe was that there were a lot of dissident Catholics and the protestants that worked there (Baptist, Methodist, ect. there were a number of them) were more faithful to teaching.
The history/theater teacher was giving his bs explanation why he voted for the gay marriage bill and he mumbled his fake reason outside of the marriage itself.
I had to rip him on Facebook when he was promoting abortion in the name of "Not to Judge" I showed that to my Grandmother and she was appalled.
I know I am imperfect and I am a sinner like everyone else, but in no way would I ever profess such wickedness and profess man's inner indulges over God.

The show had more clever writing like this, I probably wouldn't mind watching this show more often. I watched the cartoon CarrotBlanca yesterday and though the animation was nice, a lot of those jokes were really badly paced and forced.
I'm also loving Lola's face in this as well as the distressed parents. I'm dying xD
