I think that the reason that Alexis is in the Xyz dimension is that she works for a Resistance in the Fusion Dimension who opposes Academia and she heard what happened in the Xyz Dimension so she traveled there and wants to make an alliance with the Xyz resistance to defeat Academia. Possibly she was the one who gave the Xyz Resistance the tecnology to travel across dimensions and the Human Sealing Technology explaining how Yuto and Shun managed to travel to Standard as well knowing what is Academia and LDS and how Shun know how to use the Human Sealing Technology.

Other Theory is that she is a former member of Academia and defected to the Xyz Dimension after she retracted what she was doing during the hunting game. It also keeps the part as the one who gave the technology to the Xyz Resistance.

Another theory is that she was taken prisoner by the Xyz Resistance and was forced to cooperate with them.

And for Kaito, i think that he is the leader of the Xyz Resistance. Also basing on the modifications in the decks of Jack and Crow, i think that Kaito will have a Brand New Xyz version of Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon even a Numberless version of Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon.

Sorry I'm also dissapointed that Jesse isn't returning....I mean I like Alexis but still.....why the writers couldn't bring 2 GX characters and Zexal...instead they bring 2 5D's charcters and 1 from GX and one from Zexal, I know the writer is from 5D's but it still seems unfair to me!

Probably not yet, but there's still hope.
Probably the second GX character will appear when Yuya and company travel to the Fusion Dimension on in a some point of the visit to the Xyz Dimension (If he/she works for Academia, think that probably he/she will be send by the professor there to support Yuri in the capture of Yuzu). While more Zexal characters will appear as background or minor characters during the visit to the Xyz Dimension.

I have the feeling that Yugo was absorbed by Yuri after losing to him off screen when Yuzu's bracelet warped them away. Allowing Yuri to gain full control of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Until we saw Yugo again we would know what happened to him and Yuri after they were warped.

According to Aster's information, he is famous in Heartland along with Kaito. This could broke my theory of Alexis coming from the Fusion Dimension and being the one who gave the Xyz Resistance the Technology to travel across Dimensions. If this is true, we will see Aster and Alexis using Xyz Summon instead of Fusion.

I don't think that Yugo has lost to Yuri because they are both equaly strong I mean Yuto has lost to Yugo because Yuya has distracted him. Starve venom is stronger than clear wing but Yugo has also Crystal wing... I don't know I have also read that it isn't confirmed that yugo isn't comming to XYZ Dimension in tumblr.

That's stupid I mean whats next Shark or Rio or which Zexal character will appear next using Fusion c'mon that sounds so lame....The creators aren't creative at all I mean Aster is famous like in GX same with Jack....they could change their characters or what else do with them but no they do the same :/

We have to wait to see what happen.

The only other Zexal character with most chances of returning is IV/Quattro. Because his voice actor is the same as Reiji's in the Japanese version (in other words, both are voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya in the Japanese Version).
However if another Zexal character would return, i would prefer Rio.

Curiously, it fully matches with my theory of the previous rivals later friends of the previous protagonists being one of the returning past characters. All of them (Kaito, Jack and Aster) debuted in their respective series as the previous protagonists main rivals and later after being beated by said protagonists, they became their friends.

However we are not fully sure what are their roles in the series. Probably Aster and many people from the Fusion Dimension migrated to the Xyz Dimension (because it is a pacific place) a few years before the Hunting Game after Academia took over The Fusion Dimension (I think that there's no other reason that people in the Fusion Dimension keeps joining them. They should have been forced to do that.).
Probably The Professor knew that there were traitors hiding in Heartland and created the Hunting Game to execute them (I think that because they not invaded the Synchro Dimension when they captured Rin and they acted carefully in their next visits to another Dimension instead of invading it) and show the inhabitants of The Fusion Dimension what happens to Traitors. However he needed Ruri alive and knowing that his soldiers will attack everypeople in the Xyz Dimension, one of them could turn her into a card, so he sended Dennis to locate Ruri and keep an eye on her to make sure that she won't be turned into a card during the game and later Yuri to take her to Academia before other soldier founded her and turned her into a card.

This is just a Theory, probably those characters are very popular in japan so they chosen them.
